i kind of agree with u briggs jc was just a good fighter be4 the jl fight now hes a superstar he had 1 great fight but i do think ppl are hyping him up to something hes not i still think a old rjj would beat him.
Calzaghe is a top 20 fighter. But he ain't no top 3.
^-^ you foolish boy :P
Calzaghe is going to end up a fighter who will not get the respect until he has retired.
That was awesome against Lacy, but it wasnt the Brits who hyped Lacy up and was raving about he was the new Tyson (or something to that effect). Lacy was a very good fighter but inexperienced Calzaghe was good enough to expose this as well as Lacy being one dimensional without the ability to realise he needs to chnge his plan.
JC gets my respect for a good performance but will not be considered a great unless we see him win another 2-3 superfights before he retires.
An old RJJ does not beat JC, when he is being overwhelmed by JC workrate i cant imagine him digging deep and fighting his way out the trenches he will take it for one last payday and just survive.
I'lll never be JC biggest fan but if he can take on the best there is until he retires like a true champ should and make up for the wasted years then i will consider him one of the greatest of his division.
i put him 8 P4P
Briggs, you must be a retard...."any decent fighter will beat him" What bullshit.
Have you ever seen this guy fight, he is one of the best fighters in the world.
the one, your just jealous cos your about as a tough as a bag of marshmellows.
joe is a donkey like yourself

He would is too fast for Benn who has a far weaker chin than Lacy. Maybe Gerald M. would have given him a good fight, but I think Calzaghe is the second best SMW ever now that I've watched more of his fights. That being said after watching Kessler against Lucas I think he is also in the top 5 best SMW I've ever seen.Quote:

RJJ today can beat Calzaghe no doubt about it!!!!!! RJJ would stick and move even though RJJ chin is suspect today Calzaghe does not possess the one punch knock out power to Knock out Roy HE CANT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tarver has a punch the road warrior has a punch but not calzaghe!!!!!!! Calzaghe would have to rely on accumalative punishment on Roy,he is still to quick for Calzaghe and Roy would be brave and not to shy to punch more Matter of fact Roy can use this fight to get back some respect Roy would Toy with him
Calzaghe is a pre Madonna he is the ultimate Champion of Mediocrity!!!!!!! to stay in a division like Super middleweight is a Joke!!!!!! Just like anyone who calls theselves great in the Cruiserweight division is a joke those divisions are a stepping stone to other divisions Calzaghe had one good fight against Lacy,Lacy has a good support system and is very mature and will learn from his loss and will be back on top no doubt!!!!! he has a steel chin, heart of a lion and helacious power he has to get an effective jab and work off of that and work on the defense and he will be a great light weight champ Bottom line!!
jtrock - are you serious that Lacy will be light weight?
... and what is a pre-Madonna ??????
Have you seen the Lacy-Calzaghe fight? Or any other fights by Calzaghe?Quote:

I dont give a crap if he is the longest reigning champion,I can go to a school yard and be the the reigning sandbox champ outside of ridiculous what challenge would that be?? He hung around in a scrub division and thats undeniable..Quote:

I think banning works. He would have to set up another e-mail account and re-join.Quote:

that wasnt the way most folks were talking up the fight prior to fight night!? how fickle some people are...
admittedly calzaghe showed up all the possible flaws in lacys game, but noone else was able to do it so effectively. calzaghe is again begin underestimated and downplayed...
Hey man read it for what it is,Calzaghe stayed in a mediocre division HIS WHOLE CAREER AND NEVER LEFT THE UK OR EUROPE FOR A FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OH AND BY THE WAY HE ALSO GETS MYSTERIOUS INJURIES AND ILLNESSES BEFORE A BIG FIGHT...AGAAIN ARE THESE TRUE OR FALSE STATEMENTS????????????????????? sO IF SOMEONE WANTS TO THROW ME OFF A PUBLIC FORUM FOR EXCHANGING FACTS AND OPINIONS SO BE IT!!!! ISINT THAT THE PURPOSE OF A FORUM?
how many American fighters never leave the US? RJJ, Tarver why not give them stick for never leaving there country? Calzaghe fought in Germany where many consider a dodgey place to get a decision, these mysterious injuries he gets are broken hands! everyone knows he's dodgey hands, wow how mysterious is a broken hand?Quote:

calzaghe has stayed in the same division. but then again didnt b hop do the same? it doesnt belittle his reign in any way. in fact the super middleweight division is looking in pretty decent fettle at the moment and calzaghe is at the top of it....
calzaghe is a pretty decent champion in my humble opinion....
The difference is guys like RJJ didnt have to leave the country the competion and the money was right there There are Some tuff sob's in the UK but here in the US is the majority of the competition.........in Todays matchup calzaghe would get beat by RJJ BHop Tarver,Johnson,Taylor,Wright with winky and Jermaine moving up in weight
The compition??? for the majority of his career he faught no one, how can it be one rule for the USA and another for the rest of the world??Quote:

So go put a sock in it you talk to much rubbish.
again, you are welcome to your opinions, but to be honest I seem to disagree with most of them....Quote:
