The Price KO? How bad Chavez Jr looked? Arreola in a draw?
I'm sure something in boxing surprised you this weekend.
Quigg beating Martinez so quickly after that first round. I worried he was in for a long night. Frampton struggling too was a shocker.
The shitty ref in Arroyo fight deducting Villanueva a point for butting, then Arroyo does it and causes a cut, no deduction. Then the scorecards at the end, just seemed like the filipino was up against more than his opponent.
Gotta go with Quigg, I fancied him to stop Martinez but was gunning for the 5th or 6th, after seeing the first round I thought it was going to be a tough night for him, the second round KO shocked me massively.
Price didn't really surprise me, I wasn't expecting it but it didn't shock me
Cesar Cuenca has only 2 KOs in 48 fights. He gave Ik Yang, who was meant to smash the powderpuff puncher, a whooping.
That Price lasted 2 rounds with such a dangerous puncher.
On Thursday after ordering a review of Marian Juarez v Lorena Taborda...the wbc overturned the Juarez "win" and ruled a no contest. 20 judges reviewed and ALL had Taborda winning :-X They suspended two judges, the supervisor and ordered retraining, full evaluation and an immediate rematch....the WBC :cwm13:
The wba is using a new review system and ten judges for the controversial draw between Anthony Crolla v Darleys Perez.
What is this dark magic? Judges being reviewed and held accountable ???
The fact that there was live boxing on terrestrial television in the UK was probably the biggest surprise for me.
At this rate even the BBC will show some. Actually, now I'm just being ridiculous.
Frampton getting knocked down twice in the first round was very surprising for me.
I'm most surprised by how people thought Quigg looked in trouble in the 1st round. Kiki won the round but Quigg landed 3 hard, flush counters. It looked like Quigg could end it soon but everyone keeps saying "after the first round...." As if Kiko dominated.
I was there and was saying how small the ring looked and it surprised me. Kiko walked him down well and Scott didn't do much and looked like he would struggle to get away, also nothing he threw at Kiko bothered him in that first round and Kiko landed a few solid shots himself.
Frampton touching down twice was a surprise and Crolla getting a draw was also, Quigg stopping Kiko in two surprised me the most though, quite a surprising saturday really.
