Good stuff right there.

I have made my son's watch the Rocky films (except 5), Back to the future, Groundhog Day, Goonies and Karate Kid 1 which they enjoyed immensely.

if you like the shining you will enjoy it. settle in for a three hour movie
So Kubrick-esque in length then?

John Wick 1 and 3 are really good action movies, 3 is full on from start to finish.
I watched Parasite last night and really enjoyed it.
Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Lawless (2012) 7.5/10
Superb cast with Tom Hardy, Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Guy Pearce, Mia Wasikowska, Dane DeHaan and Gary Oldman. Based on a true story.
The Last Witch Hunter (2015) 7.5/10
Vin Deisel is not a good actor, but others in the cast such as Michael Caine and Rose Leslie are much better. Nicely directed, good special effects, never a dull moment.
Within (2016) 5/10
Keeps one's attention, and has a good idea for a movie, but the story leaves too many loose ends and the characters behave stupidly in dangerous situations.
Occupation (2018 ) 5/10
Somewhat entertaining in parts and has a good cast, but I would not recommend this one. The story has too many inconsistencies and the direction is amateurish.

I still think people including Stallone give 5 a hard time. The music is horrible but with a directors cut and proper music I think you have a fair film. I like that it shows a man learning to adjust to life beyond glory in the face of hardship. He makes mistakes, but learns. It has much more story and depth than 3 and 4. 4 was a 90 minute film with a 20 minute fight, 20 minutes montage and 14 minutes James Brown/Creed dying. The worst one for me. Nothing there.
Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Saw the Aaron Hernandez documentary on Netflix....absolute insanity
Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
A death at a funeral, British version, was funny.
Re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Instead of watching TV, I often watch a movie after getting home from work and having supper.
Annabelle: Creation (2017) 7/10
Well-written with a good cast.
Sobibor (2018 ) 7/10
Good locations and direction.
Devil's Gate (2017) 6/10
First part was very good, went downhill in the second half.
The Crucifixion (2017) 7/10
Very nice performance by the main actress.
The Bling Ring (2013) 7/10
True story, realistic and comical.

John Wick 2 and 3 are silly. Just like Matrix the 1st was good and they go and spoil it. There is going to be number 4? Madness.

Watched the last Star Wars movie, Rise of the Skywalker and it was OK.
The story really did not make much sense but it had some memorial funny moments and good action scenes to make me care to watch it to the end.

Been meaning to watch this. It's on the list.
Watched Abducted in plain sight. Just bizarre. I was expecting some sort of phantom vanishing out of the blue. Yeah it wasn't that.
