Fury had something like 35 amateur fights. 35!!!! That is a small amount. By comparison, the top 10 ring ranked HWs include guys with storied amateur careers like Wlad, Povetkin, Haye, etc... And other guys like Chambers, Helenius, Boystov, all had 100 more amateur fights than Fury.
Fury has had 15 pro bouts.
Fury is 23.
Only a few guys in the top 10 are less than 30.
He is still a guy who is a work in progress. He needs a guy like Manny Steward to work with him and spend 2-3 years developing him, while fighting domestic and European level guys.
