Iconic Sports Prizes

I was driving along the other day, and got to thinking of the many really famous, iconic sports prizes there have been. The ones that have transcended their sports and are known by the 'guy in the street', or have become symbols greater than the victory they represent.

I thought of a few examples (in no particular order)

- an Olympic Gold Medal
- The World Heavyweight Champions belt (if such a unified thing still existed)
- The football World Cup
- The Superbowl
- The Ryder Cup
- The Americas Cup
- The 6 nations rugby Grand Slam

Anybody got any more good ones, or wish to take issue with my examples?

you missed perhaps the coolest trophy in the world, the Stanley Cup!

By football Wordl Cup you mean FIFA World Cup right.

If so I would say thats above all. 8)

Then theres PGA Tour, Wimbledon & MLB World Series

think the rugby world cup is more important than the grand slam 6 nations

cc to sobo (the hockey ref) and beds for the f1 ref. The nonly thing about the F1 champion os that there's no name for the trophey. Maybe they could call it the Senna Trophey or Graham Hill Cup or soemthing like that.
