Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
So this goes off tomorrow night and has all the potential to be a legit firefight early on to the end. Another division showdown for all the belts, this time at 154. Boxing needs fewer belts but in the mean time I like the idea of just one guy owning them. Charlo gets that chip on his shoulder and if he goes in free bombing it will cost him. Castano never really grabbed the attention of bigger fanbase but he is more than a pressure fighter and I can see Charlo being forced to try to keep up with the volume. Looking forward to this one!

Jermell Charlo and Brian Castano will square off for the unified super-welterweight title in Texas, with the bout starting in the early hours of the morning
Jermell Charlo fights Brian Castano tonight in a massive undisputed super-welterweight title fight in front of an expected capacity crowd in Texas.
The fight will start in the early hours of the morning for British fans, but it is one of the biggest bouts of the summer and there are sure to be fireworks between the two.
Castano has yet to be beaten in any of his 18 fights, while Charlo has lost just one of his 35 bouts, and both men will be looking to make history by becoming the first undisputed champion in the weight class.
Charlo is a heavy favourite for the bout, but Castano has vowed to 'punish' his opponent when they meet in the ring later tonight.
It isn't the only world title bout on the card either, with Rolando Romero facing Anthony Yigit in a WBA interim world lightweight title fight.
Here's all you need to know about the fights...
The fights will take place at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, with the main event likely to start around 5am for British fans.
The pay-per-view portion of the card kicks off at 3am for British fans, which is 9pm local time.
Main Card
Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - undisputed super welterweight title (Charlo’s WBC, WBA and IBF titles, Castano’s WBO title)
Rolando Romero vs. Anthony Yigit – interim WBA lightweight champion
Amilcar Vidal vs. Immanuwel Aleem
Jermell Charlo: “This is a dream come true. I’ve wanted to be undisputed since I was a child because this is the highest you can reach in boxing.
"Being in this moment really makes me thankful to my whole team who helped me get to this point.
“Now is the time that me and my brother finally get the opportunity to show the world what we’re worth.
"This is the moment for us. Opportunities like this don’t come around too often, so I have to go out there and take advantage.
Brian Castano : “For me and my team, this is yet another opportunity to lift Argentine boxing up and add another star to that legacy.
"That’s what I want and I’m enjoying this moment. I promise that on Saturday night, I’m going to leave it all in the ring for everybody.
“He has all the pressure on him being in his home state. I’ve been training so hard for nine months and I’m comfortable as the underdog.
"I always come in as the underdog, so I don’t feel any pressure.

Spr Middles Amilcar Vidal and Immanuwel Aleem have gone to absolute war with one another and into the 10th now. Fun fight that one.
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Tough loss for Aleem. Split desicion loss against the house fighter in Texas basically means you won. Hell of an undercard fight though.
Good evening everybody, or at least Spicoli and Palmer. :)

Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
This dope ref must be waiting for Yigit to bring his own coffin into the ring. Man was being battered should have been waved 2 rounds ago. Good win for choppy Romero but work to do.
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
tank should go back down & ice rolando
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
rolando saying he wants tank at one forty. even easier work for tank
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
I like Romero. Work in progress though.
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Got some craziness going on in the neighborhood be in and out on this one but like the build to main event. Charlo gonna stake that 'history' claim but Costano likely be there all night. Ffs what are they feeding Spence ??? Looked massive next to Charlo in that network promo.
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Oh we have us a brawl. Castano rocked off left hook last round and hurts Charlo in 3rd! Nice exchanges early on
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Inside on his chest Castano is the goods! That short tight punching that comes in combo getting in between Charlo 4th round.
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Charlo posing and pushing the jab late 5th looking for the ender and not doing a whole lot. Think Castano took that one.
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Very controlled round 6 by Charlo putting right off the jab and pin point. Late surge for Castano again getting him on ropes and close clipping Charlo before he gets out. Castano has to be that disrupter if he wants to get this late. Sponging Charlos best hooks but can't be a spectator in 7th. He powers up late rounds and buzzes him..do it all round mane!
Re: Jermell Charlo v Brian Castano 154 unification- Showtime
Charlo is feeling both the Castano right and left early 8th :-X. Dude is just shifty when he wants to be
