"Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron - chat/fight thread tonight on HBO
Cinnamon boy should take care of business against Kermit, I predict Alvarez stops him with a body shot in one of the later rounds. Unlike Julio Jr vs Manfredo, i'm actually looking forward to this fight tonight from Mexico City.
Nov. 26th
At Mexico City (HBO): Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron, 12 rounds, for Alvarez's WBC junior middleweight title; Daniel Estrada vs. Francisco Cordero, 12 rounds, junior welterweights; Salvador Sanchez vs. Alexander Monteroza, 12 rounds.
And also being shown:
At Cincinnati (HBO): Adrien Broner vs. Vicente Rodriguez, 12 rounds, for vacant WBO junior lightweight title.
I can't stand Boner and his "team", hopefully Rodriguez will kick this clown's ass. :-\
Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron Saturday on HBO
The "Canelo" vs Kermit card starts on HBO @ 10:30 PM ET tonight or @ 3:30 AM Sunday in the UK/Europe on primetime/Sky?
HBO will likely show the Adrien Broner vs. Vicente Rodriguez WBO junior lightweight title fight from Cincinnati before the Alvarez - Cintron fight begins somewhere after 11:30 PM ET tonight or 4:30 AM Sunday in the UK/Europe.
cheers - :drinker:

Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron Saturday on HBO
Kermit is way taller than Alvares from that picture, Canelo must be very short.
Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron Saturday on HBO
If cintron stays sane he'll win, but he won't
Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron Saturday on HBO
I cannot stand Kermit "Cry Baby Greg Louganis" Cintron, but in a way, I wouldn't mind seeing him beat Alvarez. I'm not quite sold on him yet, and I hear he's a big egomaniac. And it would serve him right to lose after beating up a little guy in Solis.
I read somewhere that Mosley was helping Cintron get ready for the fight.

It wouldn't break my heart to see Canelo lose, but when was the last time Kermit looked good in a championship fight? I figure Cintron will be somewhat competitive for few rounds before Alvarez takes the wind out his sails with some body shots, and then he goes into survival mode. The only question will be if Cintron can go the distance.:peeker:

Alvarez is listed by BoxRec at 5' 9" and Cintron at 5' 11", only 2" taller, so maybe it's just the picture Master.
Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron Saturday on HBO
Im still waiting to see Alvarez be pushed in a fight. I think if he gets pushed he will push back hard. Seen a few crazy moments from him when he has been hit before. He does not have the best defence but will he fight hard when he needs to or wither away. I think a cornered Alvarez is a dangerous Alvarez.
Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron Saturday on HBO
I think I'd still rather see him fight Shawn Porter.

It should be fun to watch armin, with Cintron you never know what you're going to get.. :headscratch:
About 3 more hours until the Card starts.

I just hope we have a good fight tonight. The last week and a half has been rough, and I need good boxing fix to cheer me up. :(

Yeah, me too Diane, I figure it should be entertaining and it has to be better than that crap last week with Julio Jr and Manfredo.
Cotto/Margo II 24/7 coming up in about 5 minutes, i'm not sure if this is one they've already shown..
Re: "Canelo" Alvarez vs. Kermit Cintron - chat/fight thread tonight on HBO
I hope Cotto kicks Margarito's ass, that's all i've got to say.
