I think people are in two camps on this. It's proper fucking serious, or it really isn't. Again not trying to call anyone out, just my two cents. I think people towing the 'it's not serious' line are looking at snapshots of that point in time when they said it, or looking at their own situation/circumstance. You don't know anyone that's died of it, no longer true. No one in Africa has it, no longer true (if it ever was). Look at pretty much any statement from Trump. He's the poster boy for it's not that serious. OK well maybe it is....now.
I'm not a doom and gloom merchant by any means but the forecast on this is pretty grim. Not just the amount of people that will get or die from this, but all the 'other' stuff. Money, food, Jobs, mental health, it's kind of never ending.
I can work as normal, I have money, there are shops over the road, I'll buy something to eat/drink. I don't have any underlying issues, I don't have mental health issues. But I'm one person. It's bigger than me or you.
