Oh, it's been updated, seems that maybe he won't be going to jail after all. Thank god for that, it would have been an insane decision.

So anything that can't be stopped entirely should be legalized? Great news for junkies and pedophiles. I do understand what you're trying to say (I think), and I can't speak for anywhere but my own coutry, but here in Canada we have tough gun laws and high-levels of gun ownership and the two are most certainly not mutually exclusive.

CFH, dude, what are you on about? All I said was the REASONING behind banning guns was flawed, I never said anything about how "anything that can't be stopped entirely should be legalized".....although the United States has about the same reasoning in the prohibition on marijuana as the UK has on guns, it's just ridiculous legislation.

The first part was just a joke really.
What I was trying to say is that stiff laws against gun-ownership, something I am in favor of, don't necessarily preclude a high-level of gun-ownership. I assume in the UK it is possible to legally obtain a firearm in much the same way as it is in Canada. The laws are aimed at controlling who has easy access to such weapons. Now it's not always successful, but it is important IMO.
I agree that pot should be legalized. I actually think all drugs should be at least decriminalized. No one is going to wake up and decide to smoke crack just because it's not illegal anymore.

Worse thing is a jury of his peers (how many over there??) find him guilty.Though pretty dumb to bring bin into his place,not knowing its contents....and THEN walking into a police station with concealed loaded (?) sawed off shotgun.Shit sawed offs are a felony right off the bat over here....cough....:dontknow: so I read once.
