Is Ryan Garcia looking good because he's fighting bums?
Well, is he? I am starting to find his fights entertaining and exciting now, but is he fighting bums or is he that good and has tremendous upside?
I like his check hook and ability to fight off of the backfoot along with his handspeed and power. But are these guys bums he is beating down to make him look better than what he is?

I thought Ryan Garcia was all hype and a gimmick until he showed true boxing spirit against Luke Campbell getting off the floor to win with that devastating left hook to the body.
Now he has been off for quite a while having to deal with mental health issues he is starting again. His last performance was good but against an over matched opponent.
I think Garcia is not the real deal but will remain a social media star.

Your last statement is the key. He's more interested on preening and posing for social media than he is on putting in the years of hard work and sacrifice it takes to get to the top.
Typical millennial mentality.
Instant gratification before having done a damn thing.
Calling yourself "King" and calling out an almost-retired legend for an exhibition reeks of someone with that description.

Yea...Garcia is a bit of a poser. That's why I didn't rate him highly and thinks he is one devastating ko away from irrelevancy. But a couple of fights now and I'm starting to change my mind on him, especially when I read more about his amateur background. He beat some names.
