Re: Should Fury be stripped?
Fury strikes me as a boxer who likes the challenges of winning titles but not to defend them.
It may be a coincidence and bad luck that he has never defended the title but he could if he put his mind to it. They gave him a huge ESPN contract and he fought regularly although it was against abysmal opponents so he can do it if he wants.
I think he would be up for the AJ fight as a defence or challenger for the belt. He just can not be bothered with the rest of the challengers. He will probably retire if he beats AJ and go into wrestling.
Re: Should Fury be stripped?
Fury has to be in shape now. Not in two weeks but now. I don't know what mental state he's in. You can bet Wilder is going to be ready. Back to the Question. if he's not ready and he pulls out then yes he should be stripped.

If he fails to fight Wilder in October..should he be stripped?
We know Fury beat Wlad in Germany and beat Wilder in the rematch..best fights of his career.
Why does he never defend his title?
I think Wilder I and II were the best fights of his career. Fury-Wlad was the worst heavyweight championship fight in the history of boxing.

Apart from just about every other Klitschko fight. Fury deserves a decent Emeritus period from the sanctioning bodies just for getting rid of him. What was that permanent champion thing the WBC created for Alvarez? Something like that.
Can we all give Fury a break please. He's been fantastic for the heavyweight division. He would have fought several times if there hadn't been a pandemic on.
