Donald, Povetkin in Red Square!
Unbeaten heavyweight hopeful Alexander Povetkin and American veteran Larry Donald visited Red Square yesterday following their official press conference in Moscow. The 2004 Olympic gold medal winner is looking forward to the biggest challenge of his career: "I am excited to fight a strong man such as Donald in front of my home fans," the 27-year-old said ahead of the clash on June 30. Povetkin (12-0, 10 KOs) has set his sights on the 13th win in as many fights, while 40-year-old Donald (42-4, 24 KOs) is eager to put himself back in line for a shot at the world title. The American last fought in October 2005 when he lost a WBA title eliminator against Nikolai Valuev. The fight will be televised in over 25 countries. (Photo: Sergey Vinogradov)

Re: Donald, Povetkin in Red Square!
Sasha or Alexander Povetkin is more like a grapefruit not looking too ripe
either so that his people lose their bananas and go from the
overflowingly open Monte Barret to the infuriating impenetrability of
Larry Donald. Actually, Joe Mesi already targets Hasim in what you could call a true
invitation to make you give up all the stories people tell you about
logic, time and understandable characters in the Hwt Division. Mesi vs
Rahman is guaranteed to try the patience of most hwt division fans and
would serve up enough irrationally disturbing images of the 100 worst
fights ever in one atmosphere of true metempsychosis. To end up this, I have to point my finger to the WBC commission for giving credit to these unwholesome results ( Toney vs
Berchelder in favour of Toney ???), eccentric top contenders and most
recent title fights ( like distressing, interminable bore Toney vs
Rahman) which are everything but a strong case for the so-called Queen
division in boxing ::**, are more like an exercise of self-parody really...
