Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Set to air on DAZN tonight. Another card under the radar sees Munguia make his 4th defense of his 154 strap down in Mexico v his mandatory. Not much jumps to mind about Hogan but seems the trust of Munguia is not sticking him in to tough. Hard to believe that for a 22 yr old title holder this will mark Munguias 6th fight in a years time. Not sure how much I'll catch but good to have some live boxing.

Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Aha excellent diego de la Hoya is back, haven't seen much of him since hbo started their big cut backs and buggering off, not going to watch game of thrones now, Ave that hbo....
I like munguia he has terrible defence and gets away with a lot by just being so much bigger than his enemy but wotever its fun to watch him... Hopeful he inflicts an impressive KO on Paul hogan.

Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Woman's boxing on now, I'm not a big fan but they both went a bit crazy in the first thirty seconds there, might actually see a KO or TKO here. Might be a fun fight which is rare in woman's boxing.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
The Mexican is really getting some force on the wild wide punches but the Venezuelan isn't blocking or getting out of the way :S.. Venezuelan is getting in some good punches too. After four mins this is the best woman's fight I've seen... Im on the tecate so errr I think the Mexican is ahead on the cards.

I think they're trying to get as many easy defences as they can for munguia before he can't make 154 anymore, which sounds like it isn't so far away... He's going to have a bad time at 160 v the top guys..
Venezuelan altuve was knocked down which was sort of a push but wotever these gits are slugging it out as best they can. Fun fight to watch both of them are getting good stuff in... Pretty sure that if one of them was transgender this would be over by now :S

Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Thats the kind of blatantly blown ref call that warrants instant replay. You don't even need to stop the action as a judge supervisor can inform them between rounds and make it so. This Mucino gal is all about the big punches. Her opponent is a cop in Venezuela? Don't they kind of need all they can get right now
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Two minute rounds wot is this... Altuve knocked down from a body punch, the Mexican looks to be feeling some of altuve body punches too but looks like the Mexican is cruising to a win now

This probably seems like a lovely holiday for her :S....
Altuve is looking pretty tired now I don't think she has the power to get the KO but I Thi k the Mexican is close to breaking her down to a stoppage.

Yep I think you nailed it. Just has a feel of running up numbers but with that leaky defense he's in for a loooong road. In true wbo fashion they'll probably steer him immediately into a top position

Ha shows what I know, right at the end of the ninth altuve hits the Mexican right on the chin and she has to stagger back to her corner like drunk, and then some great officiating before the tenth with the doctor investigating the Mexican before letting her back out... Maybe the doctor was genuinely concerned but that's really suspicious..
Fun fight

Running up the numbers sounds about right, pstrick Teixeira v whoever winner is going to be fighting munguia next it sounds like(the dazn geezers said the winner of this fight is in pole position for munguia :S...) Teixeira was battered by one of golovkins black American victims, I forget which one(definently not Wade though:S).....
I think munguia is just going to be fed to alvarez.

Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Dazn shook up the hosting duties? Not big on this Kris guy on direct announce, he's usually off in the crowd with talks a lot gal.

Curtis Stevens yeh? That's a downer if they're aiming for that Munguia just gets more easy work. Mm she looks intense ;D

Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Teixeira is horrible he must have really good connections :S.... Lozano has a good chance of koing him here :S
This new woman presenting she either looks like she is in her 60s or 30s :S
Ring announcer sounds really creepy... Ring girls should run
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
This is about to get really confusing ;D. FS1 card about to kick off and wanted to see Shields v Hammer on Showtime. This Texcaria (?) will get demolished by Munguia they should aim higher. Man that's weird seeing Christy Martin again, she looks and sounds good.

Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
What is with that 3rd eyeball in the middle of Teixeiras back? No way they're putting him in with Munguia off of this one. Let's hope at least.

Why not, it seems like a perfect opponent for munguia :S.... I think Teixeira has some rich gits backing him and munguia is going to squash him seems like a perfect boxing world title fight mismatch.... Joshua had a defence v Eric molina after all :S...
Majority decision win, by one round for Teixeira, he's just not very good.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Umph, Oscar has packed it on a bit. Pushing another GGG v Canelo of course. Thinking on it I just have little to no interest in a trilogy
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
This should be a good showcase for Diego, sounds like Oscar wants him going for knock outs from now on. He looks as fit as I think he'll ever be.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Terrible cut in the middle. Of the forehead from a accidental headbut. No contest.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Bleeding a lot, that's a fair decision... Diego look way older than the last time I saw him, sounds like he's had amazing weight troubles, two fights cancelled and kidney problems, and the guy still says he wants to go back down I weight :S.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Looks like he took a hatchet to the head :-X. Not exactly Badou Jack crimson flood but ugly result. Diego real animated and PO'd at situation
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Then again..maybe Hogan pulls the miracle upset???.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Just when I was going to say no booing in Mexico during the Irish National anthem, some clowns starts yelling bullshit :D. Must be from Barclays or Stub Hub
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Oh dear Paul hogan has 7 Kos in 30 fights.... Someone is protecting munguia well

Yes he did seemed very annoyed that he didn't get more rounds in, he seemed ok with the decision, how could he not though, seems like diego has been buggering up quite a lot recently, sounds like his weight in for this fight was really dodgy too and he didn't actually make weight but no one checked :S
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Well munguia isn't fighting like an idiot, msnnix has hogan up 2-0 but I'm not so sure munguia had some nice moments in the second... And now hogan has some good success at the start of the third..
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Ha pretty cool shot from munguia there, no idea how well it landed as we were watching the camera right in the corner and could only see higans back whack the ring post
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Munguia is pretty inaccurate, hogan could well be ahead here. Munguia just needs to go crazy he's just not very good but he's very strong.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
It's becoming a common thing in Munguia fights..when the announcer yells "can you imagine if so and so could punch". Hogan near trapped him into that upper hook. He's hitting on him like it was a bachelor party.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Round five now and I think hogan is 3-1 up paul hoga. Is landing the technically better punches and munguia is missing wildly but I just think one munguia punch is worth two hogan punches here in the long game :S... Munguia has been head hunting too and he's crap at it, should attack higans body more and slow him down.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Close fifth round, munguia was better first few mins and hogan ended well... I vote munguia round to make it 3-2 hulk hogan...
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Aha sixth round and this is what dazn paid for, hogan has slowed down a bit and I between munguias wild misses he had a good spell where he did some damage, that was a good minute from munguia, best offensive spell of the fight, munguia round to make it 3-3.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Munguia tore into him that round and why does it look like they used ace bandages to wrap the tape. I take back my Hurd v Munguia most wanted show down ;D, can see Hurd power boxing here but we all know that fight won't happen
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Munguia also looking a bit tired now, but I think he won the 7th round 4-3 for munguia for me... He's done a lot better since he targeted higans body.... Munguia is young but in his current state he really isn't at the top level.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
4-4 for me... Munguia tried to decapitate Paul hogan again and missed again and again... Tiring himself out with silly punches... Even fight so far. Going to be interesting last few rounds.
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
They can't legitimately compare Munguia to Fernando Vargas at this point thats just goofy. Take that guys mic ;D. Vargas was waring and 'Ferocious' with hall of famers early in not this level. And he was a much better boxer :p
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Munguia is a blood thirsty idiot... He lands some good punches and he just goes back head hunting and missing wildly, hedybe doing so much better if he wasn't trying to KO him every round. Body attack el burro munguia
-
Re: Jaime Munguia v Dennis Hogan
Round for munguia I think could have gone to hogan though, 5-4 munguia for me. If munguia wasn't an idiot he'd be winning well here. But he is and he isn't winning easy.... Unless your one of the judges.
