Guys we're clearly overlooking.
In the UFC, everyne talks about Randy, Tim, Nog, AA, CC.
Let's not rule out Bradon Vera. This guy has impressed me. And then there's Gabe Gonzaga. This guy just gnp'd CC and cut him open, then kicked him in the head to ko him. In fact, his only loss is to Werdum in '03. You don't have those bullets beside your name unless you've got something.
Anyone else?
Re: Guys we're clearly overlooking.
To me Vera is still a prospect. If Mir (at his current state) is your best win then your not ready for the best yet. The guy has alot of potential but has yet to get a defining win. There seems to be a contract issue as well w/Vera. I am very impressed w/GG but I need to see more from him before I can give a good estimation, but if the CroCop fight is a true representation of the guy then he is one of the best in the world. Jake Obrien and Heath Herring are also possible players in the div. Since Alexsander Emelianko will never fight his brother they should bring him to UFC and put him in the mix.
Re: Guys we're clearly overlooking.
on second thought I think herring is pretty much shot
Re: Guys we're clearly overlooking.
Gabriel Gonzaga is also one half of the most BORING fight (against Kevin Jordan or something in UFC 55 or 56)I've ever seen in my entire life in any combat sport, period. The only thing that saved it was a KO via Superman punch. What made it even funnier is that at the moment he threw it, Rogan was commenting on how it was the most boring fight of his life. The guy obviously has something there, but I'm withholding judgment until I see him in more fights.
