Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Oscar Rivas has vowed to destroy Dillian Whyte's world-title ambitions as he expects to be the "last man standing" in their summer showdown at The O2.
The undefeated Colombian has been confirmed as the next opponent for Whyte on July 20, live on Sky Sports Box Office, in a high-stakes clash between two rival heavyweight contenders in London.

This is a great fight. I expect a classic to take place. About time Rivas stepped up or got more top rated bouts!

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Yeah i agree, this is a proper matchup and should be a hard hard battle.
Gotta go with Whyte (just) but Rivas does look good.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Also agree. Whyte isnt quite elite for my money, but hes a hard mofo with a lot of ability, Rivas seems to be in the same category. Cant help but think Whyte is kinda being played by Hearn with this kind of fight:confused:

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Pretty good card Id say. I dont really like Whyte and think Rivas is a little undersold, so thats got my interest, gun to my head Id pick Whyte but nothing would surprise. David Price probably shouldnt be allowed to fight anymore.... Szpilka vs Chisora is one I didnt realize was happening, that should be a tear up.

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
whyte is more seasoned against better fighters. he may also own more wear and tear. think whyte has the goods late. i give rivas a real chance

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
I was surprised to see Rivas is generally 7/2 (10 bucks returns 45). Whyte has mixed in far better company, has the form and momentum, however, Rivas was a top amateur, totally unexposed and looks like a proper fit heavyweight not a fat lumbering sloth.
It's slight odds against not going the distance too. The styles guarantee fierce exchanges, Whyte can iron anyone with that left hook (barring Oliver McCall, of course).

Anna is looking lovely as usual

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Okolie up now, lets see how long it takes for him to stink the place out
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Okolie staying in the middle of the ring and stalking Gudino in the first round.
Gudino moving and running around the ring almost being negative already.
1 nil Okolie

Okolie trying to catch Gudino who is running even more in round 2.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Okolie knocks down his opponent in the 3rd round with a big right hand but unable to finish him.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Okolie must throw combinations at Gudino who is stinking the place.

Okolie trying desperately to land against his opponent who has been falling down to survive.

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
6th round was the same and Okolie knocked down Gudino in the 7th twice.
I know Gudino came at short notice but he is not putting up much of an effort.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Okolie wins in the 7th round. Awful fight but can not blame Okolie for that.

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Evening. Smith did well. Riyaz is a good test for someone in their second fight. Covered him a few times. ...ha! get on Ibrar ;D

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Two undefeated fighters still learning the game but taking on one another now.
Riakhpore roughing up Billan Smith so far in the first 2 rounds.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Smith does well in round 3 and I give it to him because he landed the better quality punches.
2-1
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Hard 4th round from both fighters but give it to Smith.
2 all.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Riakhpore tiring and looking ragged with Smith doing better and land well.
3-2 Smith.
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Smith was winning the 6th round but Riakhporhe landed a big right hand.
Still give the round to Smith
4-2
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Riakhporhe hurts Smith in the 7th round and knocks him down too. He has turned the right in his favour.
4-3
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Smith fights hard in the 8th and stays busy on the inside.
5-3 Smith
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Both fighters shattered but I like Smith work rate even if Riakhporhe lands some big shots.
6-3 Smith
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Riakpohres holdong in the first half of the fight has certainly paid dividends, Billam-Smith is fucking shattered, taking some massive shots now as well.
I thought this was gunna be a terrible fight after the first few rounds but its turned into a really good scrap

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Smith wins last round just busier.
7-3 but with knockdown still wins.
96-93 for Smith for me.
Let's see if the judges agree.

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Riakhporhe wins a split decision

Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Chisora doing the right things against the southpaw with high tempo, big right hands a wild left hooks. Doing well but can he keep it up?
-
Re: Whyte v Rivas - O2 Arena - July 20th
Great finish by Chisora with a huge right hand to knock out his opponent in the 2nd round.
Devastating.
