David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal"
The pair have formed a new entity, named Hayemaker-Ringstar, and intend to sign a deal with a 'major UK broadcaster'.
Wonder which UK Broadcaster he plans on doing a deal with?
Can't be Sky or BT as Hear and Warren have got them boxed off already :-\
ITV..? Or Maybe "The home of Witty Banter" Dave? ;D
David Haye’s Hayemaker Promotions has today announced a historic deal with boxing promoting giant,Richard Schaefer, to form Hayemaker Ringstar, a new promotions company set to change the landscape of boxing promotionThe deal brings together two world renowned boxing figures; former World Heavyweight Champion, David Haye, who has self promoted and navigated his way to multiple world title fights and Pay-Per-View mega showdowns, joins forces with former Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Schaefer, the brains behind many of the biggest-selling Pay-Per-View fights in history, and the founder of Ringstar Sports. The deal marks Schaefer’s first business foray into the UK market, and it also ensures that Haye will remain at the pinnacle of boxing long after he hangs up his gloves.
Hayemaker Ringstar will establish a stable of boxers, including current World Champions and the UK’s most exciting prospects. The company will be a unique promotions entity, one that puts boxers first, gives global exposure to the most talented fighters, bringing the sport to a new legion of fans. The company will sign an exclusive deal with a major UK broadcaster, and aims to be recognized as the home of World Champions and future World Champions.
As CEO of Golden Boy Promotions from 2002 to 2014, Schaefer brings unparalleled experience to the new joint-venture. At Golden Boy, he promoted what were at the time the two biggest selling PPV events in boxing history – Floyd Mayweather vs De La Hoya in 2007, and Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez in 2013 – while also bringing through the likes of Alvarez, Keith Thurman, Danny Garcia and Deontay Wilder from up-and-coming prospects to World Champions and Pay Per View main-eventers.

Wankers with their ppv, forget them all.
Haye has been fighting on Dave FFS!
Haye should be on the comedy channel with the opponents he picks.

Finally we get to see the real launch of PPV in the UK. Can't wait to see Haye fighting against the girls on Babestation. Hope they wear 16oz gloves though, he could get sparked.

Shows how strong the UK boxing scene currently is, Schaefer's coming back to boxing with a vengeance, bet it won't be long before he's the head honcho.
Haye was plugging Eubank's ITV PPV at the presser. Makes sense.

I can See Haye/Schaefer signing Eubank Jnr up, he's certainly talking him up and i do have a gut feeling Haye might be doing this new venture through ITV ;)
Haye told ITV Sport:
“I think Eubank Jr. will go all way, I think he’s the real deal. I believe Eubank Jr. is a tremendous talent. If you were a fan of Chris Eubank Sr, his father, you’re definitely going to like Junior, because Junior is very much like his old man, but he throws way more punches. He’s actually got a lot more intensity about him as well.
"It sounds crazy but he’s like an upgraded version, a new age version of Chris Eubank Sr. He’s got amazing gears, his endurance is insane. He was out in Miami, I watched him sparring and the kid is a force to be reckoned with, he really is."
"If you’ve never seen this guy fight before, tune in and watch this guy fight because you want to be there when this guy wins his first title, so you can say: ‘yeah, I saw it live’. Make sure you buy that fight."
Registration for Chris Eubank Jr v Renold Quinlan is now open at itvboxoffice.co.uk.

If true a very good signing.

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
so for the people not getting the ITV PPV, when the fight is on what are you gonna be doing?
its only a tenner
get some beers in, sit about with your feet on the poof, packet of crisps or 2, and pay the tenner and relax

I love how people say 'its only a tenner'
its only a tenner on top of a sky sports subscription, on top of PPV for Haye Bellew, on top of PPV for AJ Klit, on top of boxnation subscription.
'only a tenner' for me is a lot of money at the best of times and it is not something I intend on spunking on Jr knocking someone about for a few rounds for a mickey mouse title

9 mates round mine? Fuck that, it'd be carnage, I'd not be able to get rid of them for days, I'd probably get evicted and if I didn't then the cost of cleaning up once they finally left would run into some serious £££

It is only a tenner, you're right .apart from the fact he ain't worth a wank, what if it only lasts a round?
That's 3 quid odd a minute, that's £180 an hour.
I'd rather watch the very decent undercard free and YouTube this shite the next day.

yeah ok but you could say that about lots of PPV
rubbish undercard and the main event is just a likely to go 1 round as it is 12
is it this PPV you wont get or do you not get PPVs?

I do buy some PPV's. I got both the Froch/Groves fights. But for example, unless there was a top quality undercard , I wouldn't pay for the Joshua fights. Not because I don't like or rate him, but it could be over in the blink of an eye. I like him a lot , but just imagine you arrange a lads get together for about 10 or 20 of you, you all settle down for the main event and it's over before it's even started. The night's fizzles out then.

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
Just one question. Does Haye need money? Seems like everytime he gets a fat check he takes two years off. I'm a big Haye fan but even I'm getting tired of his shit.

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
It does intrigue me , because everybody says Haye is skint , and I can understand why. But he's always involved in some big shot ideas , like the Promotion deal with Schafer for example. And when he self promotes , he does make money, otherwise he wouldn't be giving Nick Blackwell £55k . And we know that's not Bullshit , because Nick Blackwell himself confirmed it. so he can't be doing too bad.
Also , he gets World Champions like Bellew calling him out because he knows Haye is a cash cow.
He just seems to have the Midas Touch, and there's nothing wrong with that .

Now we all know that I think that Haye is a bit of a cunt but I wouldn't blame him if he went back to Nick Blackwell and asked for that £55k back

Haye should do after Nick was stupid enough to get back into the ring and hurt himself again.

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
Bet Eddie Hearn will slide Bellew some Extra pennies to spark out Haye. Not a fan of either to be fair but maybe would prefer Bellew to knock Haye out. And everyone knows I don't like Bellew, so that shows how little I think of Haye haha

I think it would be pretty representative of how many boxing fans perceive Bellew and Haye though, neither of them are particularly well-liked among many fans.

I think nugget is on about the fact that Eddie would actually pay anyone extra.

no, I think nugget means that Bellew ain't fucking good enough to KO him even if he was given a few "extra pennies". It's a joke fight and Shame on anyone who fucking buys it.

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
Tony Bellew believes that David Haye’s former trainer Adam Booth would have prevented their upcoming Sky Sports Box Office headliner.
Haye is coached by Shane McGuigan but he captured a heavyweight world title under the stewardship of Booth in 2009.
"This fight wouldn't be happening if he was still with Booth," Bellew exclusively told Sky Sports before filming an intriguing episode of The Gloves Are Off ahead of the March 4 occasion.
"I don't think I match up stylistically with the kind of fighters that Adam matched Haye with for his whole career.
"He always fought straight-back fighters who don't move on the inside. Fighters who can't fight on the inside, and who leave their head up in the air. I just don't fight like that.
"It comes across like I fight like that, if you look at my last fight! But over a period of time, I've proved I can fight in many different styles and do many different things.
"I've always said that David Haye is made for Adam Booth, not for Shane McGuigan. Carl Frampton is made for Shane - the two of them are a great match. Haye and Booth are a great match."
Bellew also criticised Haye's choice to train alone in Miami while McGuigan oversaw Frampton's recent defeat to Leo Santa Cruz in Las Vegas.
"It shows how much he values his boxing coach, to not be with him for basically a month," Bellew said. "That shows how much he values Shane."
Bellew's newest dig comes after his trainer, Dave Coldwell, was criticised by Haye for his role in David Price's recent defeat.
WBC cruiserweight champion Bellew said last month: "Someone like Shane might be a little bit in awe with someone like Haye.
"Ultimately Haye is doing it his way. There's nothing wrong with that but if he was facing Anthony Joshua on March 4, he wouldn't be in Miami.
"Because it's Tony Bellew and he thinks it's a walk in the park and it's OK to stay in Miami and party. While he's posing in the sun I am working my bits off in the cold and the dark."
McGuigan responded by suggesting Bellew would "run and move away" from Haye.
Tony Bellew meets David Haye on March 4, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
Hayes saying he's close to a TV deal and will make an announcement in the next few weeks.
After his recent verbal assault on Eddie Hearn it's gonna seriously piss him (Hearn) off if Sky Sports snap him up ;D not sure there's room for him anyway?
Boxnation/BT would be my guess as he seems OK with Warren and would be the Big Dog of the new Boxing launch so could spearhead it.
Nobody yet is sure how well the ITV PPV did and where that leaves ITV in terms of future fights (PPV or Free to air?) but it's definitely another platform he could fight on.
You never know he might stay on Dave ;D

Re: David Haye joins forces with US promoter Richard Schaefer wants "Major UK tv deal
David Haye insists that Tony Bellew’s mockery of his Miami training camp will come back to haunt him.
Bellew has repeatedly made fun of Haye spending time with 'acquaintances and celebrity mates' throughout his time on America's east coast, doubting the intensity of his rival's work ethic.
"I could turn up to this fight in the worst condition I've ever been in, and still knock him out inside one round," Haye told Sky Sports News HQ about his March 4 showdown with Bellew, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
"But I'm actually happy training. In the past if I had this fight, I might not have done much training for it. But because I've come here, I want to train.
"I wake up in the morning and feel good, I want to push my lungs, I want to go for a swim, I want to do some sprints, hit the back for an hour. It feels good.
"So he's definitely got me at the wrong time in my career. He probably thinks he's got me at the right time, at the ripe old age of 36.
"But if you look at my career, I don't have many miles on the clock. I haven't been beaten up."
Bellew most recently claimed Haye's former trainer, Adam Booth, would have prevented their upcoming fight from happening.
