Just started boxing, what should my training schedule look like?
Hey all, I've always wanted to take up boxing, and finally decided to last week. I got my gloves, rope, wraps, mouth piece; everything I need. As for getting to a real boxing gym, that probably wont happen, due to the fact: im in the Marine Corps, and am training til my next deployment (which is in a few months).
But in my off time, I just workout and sleep, and the base gym has a lot of good equipment (speed bag, heavy bag, other bags), so I can practice in their. As for being taught by a coach, i'd love to have that happen, but it wont due to my schedule.
Every morning, its a 3 to 5 mile run or a circuit course. But what should my weekly schedule look like? Like should i bother with max strength stuff, or focus more on endurance (shit tons of pullups, pushups, squats etc...)
Any help would do, as i'd like to get a solid training schedule down.
