Gym equipment for those Lacking Cash
Here's a great site with plans and instructions for building any gym equipment you can think of for a fraction of the price. Looks great, I have 3 day weekends every week thanks to some clever class picking on my behalf, so I'm guessing my backyard is going to look like a gym in no time :)

That`s some interesting and inventive stuff. Bear in mind, there is a shitload of available used equipment out there for cheap due to so many 1 month wonders. Everything I`ve bought I got for dirt cheap, some of it nearly brand new and nearly free. And time is money. But still, very cool site.

Yeah I've been checking out the local quoka looking for cheap stuff, but haven't seen anything lately. Plus I mainly want to make the things like kettlebells, chinup bar for inside and outside and maybe some of the isometric stuff on there since scrap keeps talking about elastics :p

Yea I too plan to look more into the elastics thing. My reason initially was for it`s benefits for hand speed. I admit I left it on the back burner where it still sits. Having that one month off of basically no real training and just sparring and running some workouts at the gym...I really have noticed a difference in hand speed. Basically before stepping in and strapping on, making a point to tell myself to throw more volume and faster. I am not sure if it is a combination of both taking time off from strength training and the mind set, but really see the changes. The mind is a powerful tool, me thinks.

The forearm stuff is great. Some people have great imaginations.

That's one of the bookmarked websites that I lost. I'm glad you found it. :D
Re: Gym equipment for those Lacking Cash
how about for those who lack cash and are too lazy to make our own?
No one ever takes the lazy man into consideration :-\
Seriously though, the time it takes to make that stuff can't be worth it. Especially for people who aren't Macgyver.
I have a free gym pass so I shouldnt even talk ;D
Re: Gym equipment for those Lacking Cash
cortez does have a point. some stuff just isn't worth making. in fact, from a financial standpoint, some stuff REALLY isn't worth making as it can be mass produced in china by children and slave labor for pennies. Some stuff, however, simply can't be purchased, and this is where ingenuity can pay huge dividends. But at the same time, how you gonna cut aircraft cable or black iron pipe, huh? HUH? You'll need some very specialized (and thus pricey) tools, which I happen to have. So I'm fine. You guys, however, are fucked.

No problem. It all depends on who you choose to be your friends and what kind of manipulating bas-terd you are. :p
