Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
This card kicks off on ESPN in a few hours and will be a quality measuring stick to see where Alvarez is coming off the near shut out loss to Kovalev in their rematch. Seals is decent with the physicality and power department but Alvarez is on another level overall.
Once promising Felix Verdejo looks to get things back on track..finally..after being torn up and stopped in a shocker upset loss a couple of years ago and think he's been tied up in lawsuits and you get the feeling it's slipped by him a bit. On paper it looks like pretty light work v one Manuel Rey Rojas for El Diamante but lessons learned..overlook no one.
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Are these top rank gits?.. Tsn has boxing listed as on after the ufc pre ppv stuff, I actually had no idea that MacGregor was back today, new he had the fight scheduled but it seems like there was quite al Ack of fanfare over this.... Anyway tsn has the top rank stuff...
Also don't rate alvarez that highly, of course if you beat pascal you're no plum but I think he's become quite overrated since taking advantage of a tired lazy kovalev(not like that other guy of course he's p4p great)... And these Montreal Canadians are o Ly Canadians when they win!

Word has it here that he's clamoring for a fight with Manny ;D. Those tight neon blue suits aren't going to pay for themselves! Lot's of chatter last week about Joe Smith Jr facing the winner tonight. Feels like a contest to see who gets to play the B side later in the year for the bigger dogs.
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
I'd like to see pretty much anyone v joe Smith Jr... Joe is a pretty fun, seems like a good guy I don't think him or these two will be at the top but wotever I watch scottish football :S... Although Joe Smith did nearly decapotate Bivol, who I still have as number one at Lhw.
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Is this live? Tsn is pretty dodgy for showing stuff live when it's actually not :S... Verdejo just about to start at 7.09 Pacific time.... Verdejo also has one loss, clear noob obviously
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
This verdejo chap looks to have talented hands for sure, his feet seems a bit ploddy though, he's winning but he's letting the other git escape far too much.
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Well I get to watch Verdejo full time now that [DELETED BY OVER-ZEALOUS TITOFAN]. :-X
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Admittedly haven't been watching but why does it feel like Verdejo has been fighting for two hours :cwm13:
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Rojas took him the distance... but all things considered I thought it was a pretty good showing by Verdejo. He needs to continue his comeback, now that he's re-found his dedication to boxing and made some changes in his corner.
Looks like a solid UD win for Verdejo. ;D
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
I don't know he's like two years and now three fights off his loss, I don't think he was that impressive, good hands and clearly better than the other guy but got hit a few times and let him get away too much too, but wotever.
Re: Eleider Alvarez v Michael Seals
Beginning to wonder if Fury and Wilder let the rematch spark get away from them. Fury really, he looks really really tired.

He's a work in progress, having had the wheels come off his career a couple of years ago. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now until he proves me wrong.

I've put them both on "mental mute", but I also can't wait till Feb 22nd to get a definitive answer to The Question. :)
