Adrien Broner vs Adrian Granados
Will the real Adrian please stand up... I'm really looking forward to this upcoming fight on the 18th. Broner has rubbed many of us the wrong way with some of his antics and seeing him have to eat humble pie after Maidana tenderized him was gold. He is a 4 weight titleholder; make what you want of that and he can fight a bit. I didn't realize he had a 300-19 amateur record. He may not be elite but he is definitely a contender around the weight when focused and training properly. Granados is a tough kid with under-rated skills. He comes forward with the sort of pressure that Broner has struggled with before. You could make an argument that he is basically undefeated with all 4 of his losses by way of split or majority decision. Diaz almost stopped him in the last couple rounds of their fight. If Granados can keep from getting caught with something big and make Broner fight at an uncomfortable pace he can make this very interesting.
Re: Adrien Broner vs Adrian Granados
This will be on box nation and I think I may stay up to watch it.
Re: Adrien Broner vs Adrian Granados
Lamont Peterson vs David Avanesyan & Marcus Browne vs Thomas Williams will be on the undercard. Decent card.

I just hope Broner makes weight. I'd hate to see Granados disadvantaged in his big opportunity. I'm thinking Broner stops him late.
Re: Adrien Broner vs Adrian Granados
Blowing weight is his pattern. Granados will be undersized and laying in Broners wheel house trying to do his work. But on paper this is what we all want..two top 10 guys facing off. I'm still trying to figure how Granados is still ranked four spots lower that the hyped guy Imam he just beat up.

When the sanctioning bodies are involved common sense goes out the window.

What did I say? Broner demanded a weight increase from 142 to 147 after the fight was signed. Basically take it or leave it for Granados.

He really is an embarrassment. He drops trinkets on the scale at the same time he's using "four division champ" as his only top accomplishment. He'll throw a 'penalty payment' at Granados who was already fighting at big disadvantage.
This is the same guy who told Showtime execs the f off after Vincente Escobedo disaster. A lightweight fighting at 147 when the bell rang.
Re: Adrien Broner vs Adrian Granados
I'm sure I just read a day or 2 ago that he was more dedicated now and had changed his ways. I would love to see Granados win so Broner will have to change his nick name to Almost Broke.
Re: Adrien Broner vs Adrian Granados
What's the odds of Broner even making 147?

Well barely today ;D. Have no doubt he'll be a bulky 154 by the bell.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Granados will be bulldozed as he tries to out physical Broner. And Broner will actually think it means something.

Funnily enough Broner was the only fighter to make the weight on the first try due to faulty scales. Granados, Peterson & Avanesyan were all slightly over before the scales were replaced.
