Edgar Sosa v Giovaani Segura in the pipeline:Sosa=most active champ in the world!

WBC light flyweight champion Edgar Sosa (31-5, 15 KOs) is keeping up with his unusual work-rate as boxing's busiest world champion. On March 29th, Sosa faces Carlos Melo of Panama in Haiti, his fifth title defense in eight months and, should he be successful, the streaking young Mexican monarch will then meet unbeaten Giovanni Segura in Queretero, Mexico on April 26th. This would mean a whopping six title defenses in 9 months. "If I don´t fight, I get bored," says Sosa with laugh, "and it beats driving a cab!" (Edgar is a former taxi driver.) About his upcoming fight in Haiti, Edgar comments "I will be aiming at my 20th straight victory. I wanted to fight in Haiti as a show of gratitude to my manager [Haitian-born Jacques Deschamps] and it's fitting that I go back to the country where I turned my career around, returning to where it all started.
