Bowe v Golota 1 & 2 EPIPHANY!!!
The Epiphany is that Andrew Golota MEANT to hit Ridick Bowe low on definite purpose with malicious intent. Was no accident, and it was no straying low out of Golota's lack of consciousness of what was taking place. He went in there to intentionally hurt Bowe at all cost.
What say you?
Re: Bowe v Golota 1 & 2 EPIPHANY!!!
Golota was stupid to punch low as he was easily winning the fight. I do not know why he was doing it as he had bowe in all sorts of trouble.
I think Bowe was punching low as a way out and get himself disqualified. Instead Golota does the same after countless warnings.
Re: Bowe v Golota 1 & 2 EPIPHANY!!!
You watch those fights and think Bowe was looking for a way out? SMDH
I hated Bowe and my view of those fights is dude would walk through hell and back to win.
Re: Bowe v Golota 1 & 2 EPIPHANY!!!
Golota was always about putting hurt on a guy with rules being just 'suggestions'. He used his head as a battering ram with Nicholson and was a year removed from going full Walking Dead on Sampson Po'uha biting him ugly. I think what gets lost sometimes though is that Golota was easily the 2nd best heavyweight Bowe had ever fought. Hide had some pop and speed but Golota..when he didn't have his head up his arse..could box very well and was solid. It was absurd for Bowe to come in at a career high weight straight off the final war with Holyfield and you just had a funny feeling leading into it.
Re: Bowe v Golota 1 & 2 EPIPHANY!!!
Anyone have any pre-fight interview footage or background? Because I have a feeling Bowe said something to Golota that was not very nice, to say the very least about it.
Golota wanted to hurt Bowe in a bad way. Not just bo and win a fight, but destroy Bowe in all of his manhood!
;D
Re: Bowe v Golota 1 & 2 EPIPHANY!!!
Golota was a headcase, plain and simple. He had great potential, solid skills, and decent power, but he would crack under pressure. He was beating Bowe handily, but that was the largest stage he had been on to that point and Bowe wasn’t going away (despite multiple knockdowns). All of this led to Golota having a melt down and fouling out due to definitely intentional low blows. Watch his fight vs Grant and you will see similar shades of him falling apart mentally (vs Tyson as well). As spicoli noted also, Andrew was a notorious rule breaker well before the Bowe fight, which is curious since the guy was a pretty solid fighter who wouldn’t need to break the rules to win.
