New York City - still no place like it
This is an absolutely mind boggling City both in positive and negative ways. I can't believe that 9 million people (26 million people in the New York metropolitan area!!!) are living here in a 14-mile by 21-mile area.
41% of them are foreign-born.
New York and New Jersey's Little India have the highest concentration of Indians of any City in the Western Hemisphere.
33% white (non-Hispanic)
26% Hispanic
25% black
16% Asian
To put that in perspective in real numbers it means that we have 1,500,000 Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipinos Etc in New York City.
It means we have 2,700,000 Columbians Mexicans Puerto Ricans Dominicans Ecuadorians Peruvians Salvadorians and Guatemalans etc. in New York City.
It means we have 2,250,000 Africans and African Americans in New York City.
We live in Flushing Queens and the Chinatown here has eclipsed the traditional Chinatown in lower Manhattan next to Little Italy. My town has 266,000 people and 71% of them are Chinese!!! I am living in a town with 190,000 Chinese people!!!
As of 2015 my town of Flushing Queens is 6.5% White.

Yes New York along with London and Paris are generally recognized as the top three cities in the world.
And the main reason these three are so strong is integration of the many different migrants that are attracted to these amazing cities.
Re: New York City - still no place like it
A lot of big cities.
But there is only one New York!

Re: New York City - still no place like it
The prospect of being in an enclosed area with millions of other people is a depressing one. New York would be amazing with a population of about a million. The excess spoils every major city for me. It makes it unaffordable to live in and a nightmare to visit. For me major cities look at their best in games like The Last of Us. I would love to play a game like that set in London where you can slay the zombie masses and get the world back to its Victorian prime.
Re: New York City - still no place like it
Boston is the city of record in the us. We have the Red Sox.
Re: New York City - still no place like it
I would love to visit NewYork and check out the Bronx and Brownsville where Tyson was from as well as the tourist places.

New York is definitely on my bucket list, a mate of mine (Londoner) moved and works there about 8 years ago and fucking loves it there. Say's it's so similar to London and the locals have that same 100000 miles an hour attitude.
Londoners do dress better hands down though
Thinking of going for Christmas with the missus actually but it's fucking expensive for a decent Hotel and flights in December are also expensive.

I've lived here 42 years and watched the whole city change around me. Not that far away, brock. I've shopped in your neighborhood. (well the one where you took the video) i'm a few miles south.
