Pretty decent fight scene with Tyson.
Ip Man 1 is the best though.
I love IP man, and Tyson in it will be awesome!!!
Re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
The eight diagram pole fighter was action packed and good story line film. Enjoyed it.
Re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
I watched 'Barely Lethal' but it turned out to be more of a teenage girlie type movie, not much action... I miss the stickgrappler, wonder where he's been hiding these days. Maybe engaging in some serious martial arse training somewhere in deep mountains.

Yes @Stickgrappler was the man with all the knowledge.
Re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon was action packed and far fetched martial arts with a very numb story line.
Re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
I liked the Karate Kid remake with Jayden Smith.
Bump for @Alpha

Watching it with my boys they loved it. Good family movie. I know loads of things were wrong with the film but it played homage to the original and Jackie Chan was in it.

In the age of remakes, this one was a good one.
Re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
Watched Ip Man 3 which had Mike Tyson in it and some of the best martial arts action in it that I have ever seen. The main storyline was overall weak but the side stories were more interesting and moving.
Ip Man 4 was when he was older and had the character of Bruce Lee in it. Ip Man got hit and hurt more as he has aged which made it more real. It had more shorter fight scenes in the film but not as good as the other films.
Re: Favourite Martial Arts Film
There are a lot of Ip Man related films so watched The Legend Is Born – Ip Man, which was about his early life and has a fight scene with Ip Man’s real son. Overall the film was weak but Ip Man did lose to an old master when he was young which motivated him to get even better.
Ip Man: The Final Fight, was actually a good film and made more sense because Ip Man had a mistress, and the fights are more realistic but it did show his addiction to opium and his illegitimate son. The film did show the loyalty of his students.
So only one more film of his to watch which is "Ip Man and Four Kings".
