Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Anthony Yarde's showdown against Argentinean visitor Walter Gabriel Sequeira will be exclusively live across the BT Sport network on Saturday night.
The action begins on BT Sport 3 HD from 7.30pm as rising heavyweight star Nathan Gorman makes his 14th appearance in the ring at the Brentwood Centre in Essex while Umar Sadiq and Zak Chelli put their undefeated records on the line in a super-middleweight slug-fest.
Anthony Yarde must take another step up in his development on Saturday night as he defends his WBO Intercontinental Light-Heavyweight title against Walter Gabriel Sequeira at the Brentwood Centre in Essex.
The 27-year-old is undefeated in his 16 professional bouts, racking up an impressive 94% KO ratio on his ascent through the 175lb division.
It will be Yarde’s fifth fight in a little over a year, providing much-needed rounds for a man who had just 12 amateur bouts before turning professional.
Despite his limited experience in the fight game, Yarde has shot to notoriety as one of the most promising stars to break through from the next generation of fighters, combining impressive ring intelligence with raw power to devastating effect.
Poland’s Dariusz Sek was the last man to fall victim to Yarde’s predatory instincts as he fell to a career-first stoppage defeat when referee Steve Gray mercifully rescued him from a one-sided beatdown in June.
Calls for Yarde to speed up his development with tougher tests in the ring have not gone unheard at the Peacock Gym – but the Stratford man’s trainer, Tunde Ajayi, has urged patience with his promising young fighter.
The prospect of an ever-improving Yarde should strike fear into Saturday’s opponent Sequeira.
A 25-fight veteran, the Argentinean has only been stopped once before – a tally The Beast will be desperate to double under the bright lights in Brentwood.
“I want ten years in boxing and I have been professional for three years, so with seven years left there is no rush,” Yarde said.
“My talent has to be improved in all areas. Boxing is not a sport where you can be at a low level at all.
“I'm confident and when you have power like me, it relaxes your nerves.
“People complain about my opponents, but Walter is ranked above every other British rival apart from [IBF world title challenger] Callum Johnson.”
Elsewhere on the card, highly-touted heavyweight Nathan Gorman will aim to continue impressing with an eight-rounder ahead of anticipated 2019 showdown against fellow prospect Daniel Dubois.
“Each round I keep on learning, but winning is the main thing,” Gorman explained.
“I have been sparring Hughie Fury and that is the next best thing to fighting.
“Daniel Dubois did what he had to do against Kevin Johnson and got the ten rounds, but there was no offence from Johnson.
“Daniel is good at the basics. I am good at the opposite and I am wrong for him. I beat him easily.”
British welterweight titlist Bradley Skeete also returns to action over eight rounds against Fernando Valencia.
The 30-year-old has not fought since losing a European title shot against Spanish power-puncher Kerman Lejarraga in April – but is aiming to rebuild towards another big fight in the near future.
Former world title challenger Gary Corcoran fights for the vacant British welterweight championship against Johnny Garton in the other marquee event for the evening.
Follow all the action exclusively live across the BT Sport network on Saturday night, beginning at 7.30pm on BT Sport 3 HD.

Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Sadiq v chelli fighting now. Two undefeated fighters. Should be interesting.
chelli landed the better and bigger punches to win first round
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Both fighters talking to one another. They obviously do not like their opponent.
Chelli wins 2nd round with wilder punches.
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Sadiq won 3rd round with better boxing but he is a poor fighter.
2-1 Chelli
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Sadiq getting into the fight now.
2-2
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Not good quality boxing from either and a lot of missing but Sadiq just winning it with his jab.
3-2 Sadiq
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
The wild right hand lands on Sadiq and he gets knocked down by Chelli in the 6th.
Sadiq lands a right of his own but he has lost the round.
3-3
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Sadiq wins 7th round just about but very close.
4-3 Sadiq
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Sadiq letting it all out in the last round, bombarding Chelli but Zak comes on strong.
5-3 Sadiq with a knockdown so 5-4 Sadiq.
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
Zak Chelli gets the decision by the officials

Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira
really good opening round that one, both look evenly matched and are throwing plenty of leather, if this goes long it could be a war
Re: Anthony Yarde v Walter Gabriel Sequeira

Proper tearup. 2-1 Cochran
