The Beauty of Diversity in Society
A diverse society enriches us in countless ways. If one wants first hand religious experence, one needs to go no farther than the corner mandir, masjid, temple or synogogue to attend services there and speak face to face with the Pandit, Imam, Mullah, Rabbi or Swami, and to PERSONALY interact with people of those countries and religions! What an educational experience that CANNOT be gotten by reading books!
Another fantastic example: I speak 6 languages -- 3 fluently and 3 proficiently, thanks in large part to a super diverse society. I was able over the years (1984 to 2009) to meet, date, and become great friends with, and in several other cases romantically involved with Iranians, Indians, Tunisians, Haitians, Mexicans, and Filipina women (before you doubt me, I am 61 years old now, so had plenty of time to do this!) And in the process become intimate with languages, religions, foods, music and more! It has enriched and changed my life for the better!
The list goes on and on and on.
Anyone who grew up in a super diverse community where there were no 2 neighbors ethnically alike in your 18-story building knows how wordly and far reaching their first hand knowledge and experiences are, not from books but from direct, hourly, daily, year after year after year personal experience and interaction and intimate relationships with these beautiful people.
Yes, diversity beats homogeneity 8 days a week, and twice on Tuesdays.

Where I was was 85% of one very dangerous and delinquent ethnicity, we'd doesn't go out after that's sunset, our academique advisor told to us that. That's wasn't ethnicity diversity, Gandalf, was was homogeneous 85%, none Asians, none Middle Easternish, none Indians, none Thai or Bangla, none. That's was mid-90s. Demographique huge difference.

To be fair the Christmas Tree does appear to have been suffering from some kind of bulimia. Probably got a bit freaked out by the lack of carbon dioxide or something.

I do have masks, but I do not go out on bad days, so do not wear them. It hasn't been so bad lately, so not sure what the issue is. It has been a factor in some people going home though. I am all for cleaning air as bad air causes cancer.
Are you on holiday or have you picked up one of those rare French classes?
