Re: Tyson Fury v Tom Schwarz: German media report ESPN debut
Funny old game. 4 months ago Joshua was dragged over the coals for 'choosing' Miller. Now of the big three it on paper looks like the best fight. The momentum Wilder and Fury built by fighting one another has been voluntarily handed back to Joshua with uninspiring fights. Wilder I suppose has the 'mandatory' caveat to his fight, a little slack given, but Fury?
My concern with Fury and still is, that he needs Wilder Joshua to elevate his fights to a spectacle, he needs to survive a scare or drag his lifeless body off the deck to be remotely interesting. His fight with Schwarz will be pony, as a lot of his fights are. Rightly or wrongly, no one wants to see an 18 stone bloke outmanoeuvre another bloke. They want blood and thunder.

This is one way to view it comparison-wise...........
Joshua-Miller and Wilder-Breazeale be like

Next to Fury-Schwarz which would be like

The thing is Fury shouldn't be in 'showcase' fights. Why? Because A) He isn't going to knock someone cold and B) he could lose (not to this guy, but a top 10 guy maybe, as Fury is the type to raise his level to who he is fighting).
Fury is not the type of fighter you put in 'showcase' fights. I pick him as the best of the 3 atm, but at the same time would have him as the most likely to lose to, say, Povetkin.

Agreed. Only thing I can think is its kind of a measuring stick for whether Fury can actually make anyone money in Vegas on the back of the Wilder fight. That and we might not realize Schwarz is really poor and even Fury could get a nice stoppage here, who knows.
Re: Tyson Fury v Tom Schwarz: German media report ESPN debut
They are pushing this one hard tonight ;D. "Tyson Fury is part Marvel comics and part Game of Thrones" ???. To be fair Fury does look pretty sharp in shape for Fury.

I have been following Tom Schwarz he's not terrible but just not that good and hasnt really taken on good competition, he's a big fellow though and not a fatty, seems to be a powerful fellow though but a bit slow and only throws the jab straight well everything seems a bit awkward :S... If fury beats him well which I think he will then I would say that's impressive from fury rather than Schwarz just being a donkey.... Wouldn't be surprised if schwarzs knocks him down either.
Who is Wilder signed with? ESPN as well?
Re: Tyson Fury v Tom Schwarz: German media report ESPN debut
He has a short deal with showtime, who knows what he will do once that's over.
Re: Tyson Fury v Tom Schwarz: German media report ESPN debut
Well i mean was he not paid a lot of money to fight on ESPN I mean in a sport like this got to go where the money is. What was the offer that the camps of the other champs make was it better or worse.
