Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
What do people think of Bam, I know he fought much lower than 115 before? I thought he looked great vs Cuadras but is that Cuadras getting old or is Bam the goods?
I loved his front step shuffle. The front step shuffle to uppercut he floored Cuadras with was beautiful
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
i think bam is the truth. jumps up two weight divisions to take on carlos cuadras in his first fight there, on short notice to win a vacant belt with a very good display of boxing skills & then takes on srisaket sor rungvisai in his second fight at one fifteen. bam is only twenty two as well

Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
He looked great there, I'm predicting the real deal with my limited knowledge, I think he'll lay a whipping on the thick calfed supermarket sor rungvisai.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Bam has a ton of potential, Tremendous body puncher. They take their boxing very seriously in San Antonio.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
not to take away from the main event as mj v ronny rios is a good fight, it's just that bam has a real challenge in front of him here

Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Watched a bit more of Bam, I’m going to go ahead and pick him in this matchup. I’m going to assume he has grown into the division more and I like young guys in the light weights.

i heard bam rehydrated to one hundred thirtyish for the carlos cuadras fight. i think srisaket's southpaw stance will cause issues & carlos did catch bam at times. bam don't want to take too many from srisaket. i'm going with bam on the cards but i'm not confident in that prediction

Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Credit where credit is due, Dazn has blown up and done the lower weight cards very well. If ever there's a moment for the phrase "it all finally caught up" then this may be it for Wangek. He's done well to keep that pattern of having a huge tough fight and then back home to stack up a few walk overs. But it wouldn't shock me to see Bam get to him midway on hard precision volume. Bam is lacking hard grind rounds save for the Cuadras fight but his momentum and constant shifting is superb and fluid natural. Straight left of Wangek is big weapon but heavy price to pay when he overshoots and stands there. Glad Martinez and Arroyo are hooking up again. First fight was shaping up to be solid before premature ending. What did Martinez pick up from Chocolatito? Top notch quality card looking forward to it.

it was looking like the best card of the year so far but i heard el rey is out with illness

Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
hopefully robert garcia makes it back in time for bam's corner

Has a pattern of this, twice with Arroyo? Undisclosed illness..or aka blew the weight again.

i could be wrong but i think this is the third time el rey has pulled out of this fight. i guess they couldn't get a replacement for mcwilliams

Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Raymond ford v medina Jr, don't really remember either of these guys but I've maybe seen them before :S... Ford is wearing a sort of Ford gt colour scheme. 3rd round coming up.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Ford looking much better than last out. Medina not short on effort but southpaw and level gap have him tied in knots.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Shut out win for Ford. When did simply YELLING as a ring announcer become a thing ;D. It's not as bad as the ufc fella nearly busting a blood vessel every card but what happened to being smooth Buffer like.

Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Ibarra felt all of that. Had to hang on and blink herself awake like it was 5 am. Sluggish. All that eating post weigh in and size "advantage" looks anything but. Mccaskill going for it early
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Fast start to 3rd nice exchange. Ibarra doing some stiff arm and leaning on her. She's arguing with corner who insisting on pulling Ibarra out ???. What the hell man. Oh she opted out here, no mas from the stool :-X
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
"I just want to go back home" wow. Haven't seen one that outright fleeing this early on in a very very long time.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
She gave up there, whatever, woman's Divisions still don't have a deep talent pool, I think the corner man should have tried to take the heat of her a bit and pulled her out before she did that.

She def doesn't rep women's best boxing. Year is revealing some decent talent, another nod I begrudgingly give Hearn/dazn ;D they put the spotlight there.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Not a good look for woman's boxing at all...anyway... Ronny Rios v the Uzbek who narrowly(maybe luckily) beat Daniel roman could be fairly interesting, Ronny isn't bad and these Uzbeks are going places...they really need to get easier to spell names.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
;D Hence forth he is the Uzbek Pipino Cuevas to me. Or MJ for short
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
These Uzbek chaps are fairly similar, they punch good and move back and forth well, they do seem pretty rigid upstairs though , surely someone can crack these guys like Rosa do did v whoever that Uzbek was...bek maybe?
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Rios pretty nice first 2 minutes of 2nd but MJ stuffed in 4,5 short solid lefts that shut Rios down.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
I think they've referred to Akhmadaliev as a kittle action figure at least twice :-X
ohhh Rios badly hurt here. In real trouble to the body
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Big brass by Rios to come back a bit and make it out. He looked done! Tough dude. Dazn on dial up apparently tonight. Keep stalling out and refresh
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
ronny trying his best, i haven't given him a round though
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
they are saying mj has hurt his hand
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
As compact and power sharp MJ is he tends to lean over himself. Think Fulton does well with that. But that short power is impressive. Accurate.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
mj landing with his right
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Rios all in with the pressure to start 10th. Looked like he clipped MJ gave him pause. Good scrap really. Needs something massive and final though

ronny needs to bring it, he is being beaten by a one armed fighter
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
And again MJ back hard last 30 seconds. Guy whips in these arcing hooks like a kangaroo

Landed a few very hard lefts to close for a one armed fighter ;D

mj was starting to throw the left again that round
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Corner telling him to throw combinations hand or no hand into final round.
-
Re: jesse bam rodriguez v srisaket sor rungvisai june twenty fifth
Pretty good performance from the beret wearing Uzbek, still looks very hittable to me though... Is he going to end it in the 12th he's going for it...lovely body punch there, great stuff, Rios did well to stay standing as long as he didn.
