Nobody beats 1960 to 1967 Muhammad Ali, EVER!
Nobody could touch him. Nobody could even see him. Blinding speed. Piercing punches. Excitement and charisma to infinity. Great looks. Eloquent. Witty. Pretty.
Sickening how every man, woman no matter how great, how poor....is reduced to rubble, to dust, to scattered memories, which themselves then fade into nothingness.
What a plight mankind has.
Re: Nobody beats 1960 to 1967 Muhammad Ali, EVER!
Tyson under my supervision would flush him off the ring in 3 rounds
Re: Nobody beats 1960 to 1967 Muhammad Ali, EVER!
I think 1960 - 1963 was too early, as he was young & hadn't filled out yet.
I think by 1966, he had filled out & he was in his absolute prime.
Arguably, his 'prime' years were the 3 years he spent in exile, but that's only speculation on my part.
The Ali that beat Cleveland Williams & Zora Foley was the best Ali we ever saw & arguably the finest HW ever.

I can see how only a very young and explosive and on his game Mike Tyson would have a chance.
I got caught up in the Tyson hype as much as anyone in the late 80s. But even in his pomp, in my mind, Tyson beat everyone but Ali...
Re: Nobody beats 1960 to 1967 Muhammad Ali, EVER!
I agree 80s Tyson is the only one with a chance but Ali had a cast iron jaw and I always remember something Colin Hart said during his commentary for the Douglas fight in 1990 - "Mr Ali would have played with him"(or something very similar)
That sums up how the fight would've gone for me. Tyson explosive for 2-3 rounds then out of ideas as he got toyed with.
Stoppage for Ali from around the 8th onwards - or a Tyson DQ

Do not let that idiot of Bill Paxtom ever come on this site again.
Tyson said Ali was just a "bad man" and would always find a way to win.

If you said a prime LL then there would be a discussion.
Only because of his size and therefore power in every other department he was inferior.

If you go through the hassle of inventing the time machine that throws Ali 30 years forward; then surely too you would assume Ali would be born 1970 rather than 1940, with the same advantages of a better diet that Lewis had; thus Ali surely would be a couple of inches taller and a couple of stone heavier...

If Doug Jones could goad a young inexperienced Clay into a fight....pretty much anyone could.
I've always stated 64-67 Ali=undefeatable. Should've been 64-70....

The strange thing is that the exile of Ali created Frazier and the biggest fight ever. If that did not happen Joe may have got beaten by Ali as just another contender.
