Anthony Yarde v Tony Averl - Box nation 24th Feb 2018
THE WBO INTER-CONTINENTAL LIGHT-HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
On February 24th the stars of tomorrow fight at York Hall, the spiritual home of British boxing, live on BoxNation.
Ilford Light-Heavyweight Anthony Yarde defends his WBO Inter-Continental and European belts against Tony Averlant.
‘The Beast’ (14-0, 13 KOs) is determined to pick up from where he left off in 2017, a year in which he won his first professional titles. In May he took on tough Southern Area Champion Chris Hobbs who, despite showing impressive durability, was eventually broken down by Yarde who dropped the former soldier six times on route to a fourth round TKO.
Yarde added more gold to his collection when he stopped Richard Baranyi in the first round to become WBO European Champion in July before hammering Norbert Nemesapati to pick up the Inter-Continental belt last September.
In December, he became the first man to stop former World Title challenger Nikola Sjekloca with a heavy-handed display which lasted less than four rounds.
France’s Averlant (26-9-2, 5 KOs) has only been stopped twice, with one of those early nights coming against former World Champion Juergen Braehmer. As he continues his rise through the rankings, Yarde will be hoping to add another knockout to his record.

Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois (6-0, 6 KOs) fights at the historical East London venue for the first time in his professional career as he defends his Southern Area belt against Queensborough’s DL Jones (8-0-1).
The Peacock Gym powerhouse claimed the title after knocking AJ Carter out cold in the opening round with a massive right hand at the Copper Box Arena back in September and is hoping to start 2018 with another explosive ending.
Rising Super-Featherweight star Zelfa Barrett takes on former British Super-Featherweight Title challenger Ronnie Clark as he fights in the capital for the first time.
'Brown Flash' (19-0, 12 KOs), holder of the English Title following his win against Chris Conwell back in October, hopes another victory here will propel him towards a new title challenge. A product of the renowned Collyhurst and Moston boxing club, many pundits believe Barrett is a World Champion in waiting.
Clark (20-4-2, 10 KOs) has only lost to respected fighters, including Martin Joseph Ward and Craig Evans, and will provide a good test for Barrett as the Mancunian builds towards a future showdown with stablemate Lyon Woodstock Jr.

Just came here to see if anyone else was watching this.
I was planning on paying for the Smith fight but since Brehmer has pulled out I think its a bit of a cheek to keep it as PPV

Tough rounds to score but think Barret wins 5th round. A lot of missing, posturing and ineffective action. 3-2
