I wouldn't put Duran over Hagler or Hearns in the 1980s.
Have to put Holyfield over DLH in the 90s.
Re: 5 Best Boxers For Every Era 1920s To Current Era.
I'm liking your list mate I agree with all of them over 1940 because I don't know much before then. If I was to make a list it would take me DAYS to decide who to leave out or include.

ICB, I gotta applaud you for the list.
Anytime someone takes the time to type out a well thought out thread and takes the time to read and or do some research I think it's good. Good list. I bet everytime you typed in a name you thought of another one....
Same names that come to mind that I didn't see listed:
Evander
Lennox
Napoles

Do you mean Jose Angel Napoles ?? he was very good fighter but i don't think he done quite enough to make the list if i was doing top 10 for each era he would of been in it and as for Holyfield just like Napoles he was very good fighter and i would of had him in my top 10 list and as for Lennox i had him in my list atleast twice but i kept changing it until i decided to leave him out.

I could probably slip Eder Jofre into the 60's list.
Maybe Trinidad in the 90s?
Good lists tho.

Yeah even tho Harada beat jofre twice they were decisions in Japan, which makes me think there could have been some bias judging.

Wow ,top notch ICB,you are the list master and it gives life to forum.Good Insight and work Indeed.Right off I would take out Dempsey and enter Benny Leonard although both were on tailend.
Louis out in 30'sTony Canzoneri in.Keep Louis in 40's Imo.
90's Definatley enter Holyfield,Out Delahoya.
50's out Marciano ............Man,sure sounds like I have something against heavys huh?
Re: 5 Best Boxers For Every Era 1920s To Current Era.
90's raking my brain But Holyfield in no doubt.change of mind,Delahoya in and Jones jr. out. Even though not big fan of either. This is not fare Lol.

Jones deserves to be in the 90's list. Multi division champ, p4p #1, Beat Hopkins, Toney, Griffin, Mcallum, just to name a few.

Me personnaly I'll take Holyfield Over Jones strictly in the 90's.
No doubt Jones VERY consitent and supreme talent but If Im picking only 5 Fighters I would put up to Rep.the decade...Holyfield Has to be up there.Aside from Hopkins and Toney (who I think basically conceeded at the weigh in) Competition not great.Griffin good,2 wins over Toney also,Mcallum was waaay past it.Hey if theres 6 spots I see it but Holyfield In top 5 for me.Foreman,Bowe,Mercer,Tyson,Moorer,Lewis(1st a loss no doubt but rematch I thought he edged it).

Fair enough. I'd drop one of the other guys before i dropped Jones tho. JCC was good for the first part of the 90's but got destroyed in the second part of the decade.

I have an Unpopular viewpoint on Chavez....Randall had his #
Good point on second half with JCC.Lost twice to DeLaHoya.Guess the might tell us who gets bumped from 90's list Huh?Just a thought
