I've had a wonderful time in every single one of my cruises. So much that I plan to go on many more. Maybe a change of venue, since I've probably cruised all the Caribbean islands.
these are the worst things ever for the environment
Yes..... cruise ships/companies could and should do a hell of a lot more to be more eco-friendly. Too often they only take corrective measures after being fined or pressured.
Well, every cloud has a silver lining ......

"Will we ever take cruise holidays again?"
I love cruises, but don't see myself inside one of those things any time in the near future. Also.... these cruise line companies always trying to build a bigger and bigger ship. That should definitely become a thing of the past. Who the hell wants to walk into a floating petri dish with 8 thousand other people??
If the prices go down I may be able to afford to go now and have the whole Ship to myself!
A pandemic is definitely the very worst moment possible to be on a cruise where contaminated people are, but even then, I've never been super keen on seacruises, as I think it's pretty much expensive to be caught on a boat, especially if we do consider all the pollution it does.
Well, a bit of good news (I think it is anyway ;D) in these troubled times.

Swathes of gigantic cruise ships are in knackers yards being dismantled after the industry has been all but wiped out this year.
Not great news for the people who work on cruise ships, obviously, but perhaps there will be less of these gargantuan, tasteless bling-filled, money pits full of fat lazy guzzling consumers who don't go anywhere or see anything .... while their disgusting floating apartment block churns up reefs, leaks fuel and destroys local economies.
In my humble opinion of course!
If you've got something to say just say it. Get off the fence for Christs sake ;D
