I must admit i didnt actually watch it and just assumed it was somehow clever. Considering who posted it, Im not sure why.
@walrus I have a feeling you'll be buying a new watch soon....

All I know is Finito would've liked this thread.
Do you guys also have pierced ears and wear necklaces? Im not judging, its just that there is zero difference anymore. I had a Rolex that was my dads which I wore for a couple of days, but it just felt cumbersome and essentially was so useless.
Those that wear watches everyday will have a cheap but hard wearing one. Those that wear them on special occasions do so and are treated like jewellery
No piercings, no tats, no necklaces on me. Wearing a watch is not a requirement by any stretch.
I try to wear a watch every day, I've got 1 watch which is on the cheaper side...I need to get batteries in that one actually. I treat none of them as "jewelry" my wedding ring is "jewelry" a watch has a function other than looking pretty making it different than jewelry, granted they can be accessorized.
Would cuff links count as "jewelry"?
That's true. I usually don't wear one except on dressing up occasions.
A watch can be
- something on your wrist to tell the time, in which case cheap and rugged is good
- a piece of jewellery or 'pose'. Because it also tells the time, we can convince ourselves it's not just jewellery bling;D
- outdated and unnecessary because your phone tells you the time
Only problem with my "watch" is it takes me longer to answer "What time you got?" as I have to reach into my pocket and turn on the display.
Rolex Sub.
Easy wearing and easy to sale.
Floyd Mayweather Junior is at it again and this time he’s gone all out on proving his impressive watch collection to the world via Instagram. Why? Just Mayweather things, one would assume. Or in his words, motivation for the haters.
It all started two days ago when the undefeated world boxing champion began innocently captioning his timepiece alongside a portrait of himself wearing the watch. First came the Richard Mille RM 59-01 Tourbillon Yohan Blake which retails for US$620,000.

Those watches look ugly.
My watch just packed up, gutted, I couldn't workout how to change the battery so bought a new really expensive one (£50), fantastic, has a night light and everything, date, big digital numbers, hopefully i'll be dead before needing another.
Zenith makes some beautiful watches. This isn’t one of them. Any watch with a tourbillion is big bucks. They are very intricate. This watch is probably an engineering marvel but it’s ugly as hell. I am in the process right now of making a deal trading my Rolex for an omega speedmaster reduced. It is a very nice Rolex but it’s gold and out of the 10 years I’ve had it I think I’ve worn it twice. I am really hoping my deal goes through the omega speedmaster is the watch that us collectors call out grail. It’s not a 58,000 dollar watch but it’s just the watch that always caught my eye. If I get it I’ll probably sell off some of my collection and pick a watch up when I find a deal at an antiques store or flea market. Some collections become addictive and much of the time it’s the thrill of the hunt
How many of u wear smart watches and do you find them handy and worth the money? One reason I wear the old ticking watches is to separate myself from tech. I have no qualms with smart watches I just already spend too much time looking at my phone and enjoy the old school touch.
Gentleman I must tell you I just ordered the watch I have always wanted. An omega speedmaster. Most watch collectors have what they call grail watch and this is mine. Best thing is I was able to trade a watch I rarely wear. I have it for probably a decade and wore it maybe 3 times.
