I am not confident but I hope you are right

There are a lot of
“ifs” in this one. The relatively small amount of weight that
Ruiz lost (5-8 pounds) will make him lighter on his feet and even more
dangerous, but he needs to couple that with a competitive fire and attitude. The
purchase of a Rolls Royce and mansion is not a good sign. Meanwhile, Anthony
Joshua is doing exercises that reportedly are elongating his musculature. If so,
that's a smart move. Muscularity and attendant vascularity, with exceptions like
Holyfield, are not necessarily compatible with flexibility. If AJ can come in
loose (rather than overly tight like the last time) and without the element of
surprise, I see him fighting tall (using a superior jab coupled with sharp
crosses) and keeping Ruiz at bay while winning a decision or even perpetrating a
mid to late round stoppage.Remember, we are talking about a guy who beat Vlad
KlitschkoDillian Whyte, Joseph Parker, Alexander
Povetkin, and many other solid opponents.
Id hate to bet on this one. Think AJ is well capable of winning if he fights tall, or even stopping Ruiz if he goes all out on that, and Im not sure which would be a better plan. Maybe he isnt either, and thats what could get him into trouble. Ruiz is the more cerebral guy, he wont overthink things and has much better hands period, any time it becomes a fight hes going to have every chance.
AJ had him in the first one, he got too comfortable and didn't respect Andy's power and it cost him.
A couple of scenarios to consider
In Ruiz's favor
#1. He's more fit, he's more confident, he steamrolls AJ early because AJ gets caught and his legs never get back under him.
#2. Ruiz pot shots the broken AJ the entire fight and cruises to a decision.
In AJ's favor
#1. AJ knows he had Ruiz in the last fight, he focuses, has better defense, Ruiz's weight loss works against him and has him less durable and AJ ends it early.
#2. AJ jabs the ever living hell out of Ruiz, muscles up on him and just over all tires him down and then stops him late.
I think AJ will redeem himself...it'll set up a rubbermatch of course because we can't get AJ vs Wilder regardless
Am I really the only one who doesn't feel like I have anything at all invested in this fight?
I mean, I'm going to watch it and I'm looking forward to it but I couldn't care a shit about the HW's right now.
You have the media machine known as AJ looking to avenge a loss and prove he wasn't "exposed"
You have Ruiz who came along and ruined AJ's party but if he wins the rematch does that prove that he is a real player in the HW's or just that AJ was in fact "exposed"
You have Fury who is now a part time wrestler
You have Wilder who talks about killing people and not a lot else, yeah he is fighting Ortiz again but I think that will end early this time round, the old man will be knocked sparko within the first 4 rounds I reckon
I just can't get myself up for it at the moment and I really don't care a fuck who wins it, actually that is a bit of a lie, if AJ wins he will be unbearable, and for that reason only I want Ruiz to win via a comprehensive KO
You're not alone in that.
I've read where Wlad wants to make a comeback and beat Foreman's oldest heavyweight title holder and even with that I'm not excited about it.
The division has some talent, but the big fights aren't being made....just have AJ vs Wilder already. Even then the aura, the personalities, there's a distinct lack of spice to the division. There's no Floyd or McGregor or what have you to the division. Everything these days is just ho-hum scripted bullshit when it comes to pressers and everything. Tyson Fury tries bless his heart. He tries being interesting....he comes across more goofy than dangerous as does Wilder. AJ is blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand. Ruiz is an afterthought. Ortiz is a drug cheat (Fury is a drug cheat too :-X), Miller was a guy I was high on, but he certainly fucked that up.
Nothing new, nothing fresh, nothing worth my interest, but I can still take a guess about a winner.
Hell I wish there was a few Brewster's, Byrd's, Golota's, and Sam Peter's around truth be told and even those guys were relatively boring when it came to an interview.
If Ruiz wants more than 15 minutes of fame, somebody needs to tell him that 15 donuts a day is not good.
Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz rematch: Kubrat Pulev expected to fight winner ahead of Oleksandr Usyk
Kubrat Pulev is likely to fight the winner of Andy Ruiz Jr vs Anthony Joshua II, rather than Oleksandr Usyk.
Pulev is the mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title, while Usyk is the mandatory challenger for the WBO.
With both titles on the line in Ruiz and Joshua’s rematch in Saudi Arabia, it is unclear who the winner will be mandated to fight, but the Bulgarian’s promoters are confident it will be Pulev.
“Kubrat Pulev’s next fight will be for the IBF world heavyweight title,” his promoters Top Rank told Sky Sports.
“If the Joshua-Ruiz winner decides not to fight Pulev, his next fight will be for the vacant IBF title.”
Pulev has been beaten only once in 29 previous fights, and earned his position as mandatory challenger for the IBF title with victory over Hughie Fury.
It seems likely that one of the two titles will be vacated by the victor of Ruiz-Joshua, unless an agreement can be reached between the two organisations.

Why doesn't winner of WilderFury fight the winner
Amazing how a (very good) cruiserweight can have one fight at heavyweight against a limited opponent - and suddenly become number one mandatory contender for the WBO title. That must really piss off career heavyweights who have worked for a long time to get into that position.
Might be off but I think he was actually put in #1 spot before even touched gloves with ol Witherspoon which makes it even more obscene. Once again I'm back to my thinking the heavyweights on whole are really overrated and overstated. Ruiz and AJ both have the feel of guys not long for the sport for different reasons. Wilder is having pointless do overs with the impediment of a ppv tag and at the rate he's going Fury will be headlining Dancing with the Stars or some shat. The way of the division future is there for all these younger guns coming on and Usyk who honestly seems more willing to face the 'best' than those who should be willing at this point.
Dillian Whyte joins Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz undercard to take on Polish heavyweight Mariusz Wach
Dillian Whyte will return to the ring to take on Mariusz Wach on the Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz undercard in Saudi Arabia.
The British heavyweight has not fought since his impressive victory over the previously undefeated Oscar Rivas in July – a victory that was overshadowed by a failed drug test.
Whyte was provisionally suspended by the World Boxing Council pending an investigation into an adverse finding in a drugs test prior to his meeting with Rivas.

The Londoner, who was cleared to fight by UK Anti-Doping and the British Boxing Board of Control, denied any wrongdoing, insisting he won his meeting with Rivas “fair and square.”
He joins the card in Saudi Arabia that now features five heavyweight bouts on Saturday 7 December.
Polish fighter Wach has won 35 of his 40 professional bouts, including his last two. The 37-year-old is struggled stepping up to anything resembling world level, however, having lost to Martin Banole, Artur Szpilka and Jarrell Miller in the last two years.
Wach also has defeats to Alexander Povetkin and Wladimir Klitschko on his record.

i'd like to see aj gain revenge, ruiz could prove to have the better chin
A week to go. AJ looking in shape and focused.
Fight will be decided when ruiz lands his first decent punch. Joshua will stay focused and deal with it. Or fold.....
If there is an early blowout, I think it's a Joshua win. He is very dangerous early on and can definitely hit and knock anybody out.
Having said that, he got an early knockdown against Ruiz last time, and it was his overeagerness to close the show that led to him being countered and beaten up. It might make him more cautious.
You would think that the longer the fight goes, the more it favours Ruiz as the demons will return to the beaten fighters head. I still can't see how somebody with Ruiz' body shape can be truly fit though.
Whyte being allowed to fight after failing with D-Bol in his system and then proceeding to use illegal gloves is absolutely shameful. UKAD, BBBofC, Hearn, Whyte, all shameful.
Andy Ruiz Jr tells Anthony Joshua to his face that he ‘quit’ in first fight, plans to end his career in rematch
Andy Ruiz Jr told Anthony Joshua he believes he did ‘quit’ at the end of their first fight in June.
The unified heavyweight world champion also stated that he’s planning to end AJ’s career in their upcoming rematch as he sees the fight as a ‘him or me’ scenario.
During the Sky Sports face-to-face ‘Gloves Are Off’ show, host Johnny Nelson asked Ruiz Jr whether he agreed with the people who have claimed Joshua ‘quit’ when their fight was stopped in the seventh round.
The Mexican-American replied: “A little bit. I feel he quit because of the way that it was won.
“I think he was still out of it, I didn’t think he knew where he was at that moment. I think that he quit.”
Joshua replied: “The referee waved off the fight. It’s just opinion, innit. I roll with it, I ride with it, I’m a champion through and through, no matter what anyone says to me.”
https://talksport.com/wp-content/upl...60&quality=100
When asked if he’d ever do the same thing in that situation, Ruiz replied: ”Depends how hurt I was. I’m not gonna quit, if I fall I fall.”
Joshua then said: “The conclusion is, ‘I quit,’ but I feel like why wouldn’t I have stayed though?”
Ruiz appeared to agree: “He was still up, the referee was the one that waved it off.”
And AJ responded again: “Why wouldn’t I have stayed though? He hit me with a shot I couldn’t recover from and I still stuck in there.”
Conversation then turned to what happens after the bout for the winner or loser.
Some have suggested Joshua could retire from the sport should he be beaten again, and the champion made no bones about the fact he’s planning to end the Brit’s career.
“I have to,” Ruiz Jr said, “I have to, right? He’s trying to take my career as well.
“It’s either me or him inside the ring. I will and I am.”
Joshua and Ruiz both arrived in Saudi Arabia at the start of the week ahead of part 2.
The fight is taking place in Riyadh and a purpose-built arena has been constructed for the contest, with a capacity of 15,000.
Ruiz Jr initially kicked up a fuss about fighting in the Middle East, but all issues were soon resolved.
The WBA, IBF & WBO heavyweight titles will be at stake, although it is thought that the winner will almost certainly have to vacate at least one of the belts as a queue of mandatory challengers are forming to contest the crown.

I do getting that's butterflies in my stomach about this fight. I watch that roundtable and both looks calm and thoughts filled. I think I see a glimmer of doubt in Joshua eyeballs. I think he style is perfect for Ruiz. I think Ruiz win again by KO MAYBE ROUND 3
aj looks much better without the muscle bulk. not sure if it'll help his chin
His eyes looks fish, like fish eyes, he is bugging, Ruiz have his number and the big robotic oaf knows it. @Primo Carnera Che vuoi dire, stronso.
1. I think there should be a question mark?
2. I think there should be a “Z”, not an “S”
So I’ll reply by saying.
Stonga dicenno che tu si nu cabocchio e nu saba manc’u gazzo! E si fasool te trova, facces o’cullo tante a te!
Good luck trying to copy and paste that into google translate as it’s totally in dialect.
But if you like my petit pois, i’ll Translate it into Armenian for you! ;)
just watched it
definitely some looks of doubt in AJ's eyes especially when the quitting question came up.
Ruiz seemed calm and collected for me and he knows what he has to do.
AJ still wins in every department for me apart from mentally - and that's the key one.
Ruiz has nothing to lose, he's champ when no one thought he would be. He's all wrong for AJ..................
Is there a rematch clause in favour of Ruiz if AJ wins?
before the first fight they asked joshua whats your plan to win the fight. he said im going to go in there and im going to use my size and im going to use my strength. that means he didnt have a plan. now he really needs a plan and im still not sure he actually has one.
I didn’t realize this fight was on Saturday until about two days ago. Shows how interested I am. The first fight was a good and exciting fight but I’m just not expecting this one to be. I think that AJ will be much more tentative and box. I think he will probably win a comfortable decision. It won’t be shocking to see AJ get knocked out again, but I think AJ will end up winning.
The most interesting thing about this fight is that I think it determines AJ’s career. If he wins, he is back in the mix. If he loses, I think that mentally, his career is over.
His career, like Liston's, like Courage Tschabalala's, like Foreman's first career, WAS FUCKING OVER when he spat out his mouthpiece in Round 7 against Ruiz.
Stick a motherfucking fork in his big Adonis Hercules Atlas ass. He's done.
Ruiz KO 5/6
There won't be. In the original contract Ruiz was contractually obligated to give Joshua a rematch if he won. All Joshua has to do to get the rematch was to say he wanted it. After this fight both guys are free and clear. If Joshua wins that's it for Ruiz. Since he's with Haymon he'll probably get recycled as a future Wilder dance partner. If Ruiz wins Haymon controls Ruiz and Wilder and Joshua is frozen out. Joshua's best hope of anything happening then is Fury beating Wilder, but Wilder almost certainly has a rematch clause in that contract and all he'll have to do to tie Fury up is exercise that clause.
The winner is obligated to face the WBO and IBF mandatory, it's already a given that the winner will dump the WBO (Haymon doesn't deal with them regardless) allowing Uysk to fight for the vacant title in February. Whoever wins has to face Pulev (IBF) next or dump that too.
Joshua can't be frozen out as Hearn will have the WBO title regardless and all the top heavyweights... barring Wilder, Fury and Ruiz of course. However, should Joshua lose he's going to need a year or so to ease back regardless.
Can't see where Joshua goes if he loses again given his financial standing.
Fight due at 9pm which is the same time Shed 7 are due to take to the stage in Leeds. I have a feeling my ticket will go unused and I'll be home in front of the TV....
I'll have regrets whichever I choose.....
Unless I come out to find it was an AJ klitschko style shut out win by ud
If he manages to lose twice in a row to the Michelin Man his commercial worth is going to take a gigantic nosedive. There's nothing like two embarrassing defeats in a row to have bandwagon fans deserting en masse and leaving a massively popular fighter suddenly not so popular. He's going to go from Wembley to the O2 and the only chance he's going to get to fight for what the public consider the real title is if Fury beats Wilder twice in a row. He's made lots of money and when you add the fact that he's comfortable financially to the fact that he'll be mentally fucked by the double loss it's a legitimate question as to whether he'll ever be able to get himself back to the top. It definitely won't happen anytime soon.
Yeh I think if Joshua loses in the same manner it'll be a wrap for him. His level will be cemented and marketability in permanent desperate rebuild. If he can't do it proper off the back of the first fight shocker than little reason to think he'll motivate even more. Can also easily see a third fight barring him being blitzed early. Not totally sure of start time in Central time zone inStates but almost certain to miss it on a Saturday morning which really sucks. Work, folks anniversary, Pearl Harbor Day a.m ceremony and fight. Man I really miss HBO fight NIGHT ;D.
