Re: Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn 2
Eubank wasn’t the same fighter as in the first bout—tentative, passive, almost waiting for the 36 minutes to end so he could cash his cheque. Whether it was weight, age, being jaded, injury, or personal issues, he made no excuses and gave Benn full credit.
Benn fought smart, cautious behind the jab, and avoided unnecessary risks.
The big question now: how will Conor look making welterweight after years of bulking up? The easiest world title shot seems to be IBF champ Lewis Crocker in Belfast. If he makes weight well, he could trouble Romero or Barrios/Garcia—but Norman or Haney? No chance.
Benn is the money fight for all of them, and even if he falls short at world level, there are big names like Pacquiao, Catterall, or even Harlem Eubank waiting.
