What should we do to respond to the Russian attack on a spy, daughter and endangering the public including the police officer?

Sanctions, not attend world cup, kick out Russian billionaires and take their property, boot out their diplomats?

The Russians see us as weak. They don't really care if we go to the World Cup or not, and it's a pretty pathetic retaliation.

They don't have a big embassy here or many diplomats, as they don't see the UK as important.

We already have sanctions against them, so we can't do that anyway.

The State can't simply boot individuals out and take their property. London is the biggest investment city on earth and it has the most foreign billionaires here. If we suddenly decided the rule of law didn't apply to them, they would take their money elsewhere. I wouldn't be happy knowing that the governement feel they can just take people's stuff.

In any case, having all those Russian billionaires here spending all the money thay have stolen from Russians really annoys Putin, so we should encourage them

The truth is that there is fuck all we can do to hurt Russia, and they know it.

More seriously, I don't know what you can do. Like other powerful countries Russia does what it wants as does the UK by locking up Assange for millions a year. UK has done a lot of dodgy stuff over recent decades. Kind of hypocritical to get upset with Russia considering the way the UK behaves internationally.

I was seeing a Russian girl about 5 years ago when i lived in Dubai, we used to have mad chats about Russia.
She told me that they see the UK and Europe as weak and are taught as much in School.

When George Washington stepped down as president after two terms the news was given to King George (I think George the 5 but u guys would know better) George 5 said he will be known as the greatest man who ever lived. Putins opponents either drop dead or are banned from running against him.
