No it's not because of that Majesty, it's because of the details in his contract and has 0 to do with either fighter so don't paint it like anyone is scared. And who would be scared of Paulie anyways? Shit I don't even think I would be afraid of him
People mock Malignaggi too easily, sure the guy has limited pop. But he has done very well getting as far as he has with nothing to intimidate fighters with. The Cotto performance showed that he's got a chin and can win rounds against the very best. Malignaggi gets put down because Hatton whooped him and because everyone in turn puts down Hatton these days. They are both better than that and on their day can beat anyone in the division.
I really wouldn't be all that surprised to see Malignaggi put Khan on the canvas, Khan might not stay there but Malignaggi has it in him to do that. I can also see Malignaggi taking his share of the rounds too. It's a tougher fight for Khan than some are expecting. Malignaggi has looked good again recently and if he is in the same form he was against Cotto then Khan is in for a rough night.
BTW, I don't think I would be scared of Malignaggi either, but the stick on dreadlocks might well give me a fright.
If the fight does happen I think we should start taking bets on whether or not Paulie can drop con boy. It's a possibility but Paulie is so feather fisted that it's hard to gauge if he can do it in this fight.
I'd like Paulie to take Khan.
I'd be happy for him. Always calls it how it is and is a decent, under-rated boxer. The low point of his career was losing to Hatton as Miles said because people don't rate Hatton either.
I still think if he had a more offence minded game-plan he would have had a different night with Hatton but we'll never know.
I'm sure people have tuned me out by now when it comes to Malignaggi but whatever.
I actually think at this point in his career Malignaggi is overrated simply for what he did to Diaz. It was a really good win, and I do admit he at least won this time, but at 140 he is nothing special imo. I'd say middle of the top 10 pack. People make him out to be a slick defensive guy but he actually catches a lot of punches for a guy who is supposedly 'slick.' He outhustled Diaz on his feet, all footwork imo and that's great but I beg people to go look at his fights with Cotto, Hatton, Ngoudjo and his second with Ndou before picking Malignaggi here. I know he had hair extension problems (that douche actually tried to play that off as if it was his real hair to), and he hurt his left hand and that somehow allowed Ndou to not miss a single right hand.
I've never been a Khan fan, ever, but if it comes down to Marquez, Maidana or Malignaggi, I would certainly pick Malignaggi if I wanted to give him the best chance to win.
Khan has got everything figured out, seriously he should write a book called My Life: LOL at you sorry fucks
He's got a 1 million dollar guarantee from Golden Boy? Really? He's got 20 some odd fights, he's already been brutally knocked out by a future journeyman, and he barely missed a beat. Since then he's had some brilliant matchmaking, is a world champ and can pick and choose fights already like he's some sort of star. He's not even really an exciting fighter either (granted I know that's debatable.) For what its worth I am not "hating" on him at all, I even contemplated becoming a fan to annoy Missy, like I said he has it all figured out and none of us would turn down large piles of money just cause some people felt maybe we had everything handed to us on a platter.

I read an article on boxing scene, I'll have to look for the link, but it stated GBP guaranteed Khan 1.25 million and HBO offered 1.5 million for the entire card. These numbers are all speculation because only those directly involved see the contracts. GBP is overstating his status in the states, give him exposure as a cofeature first, then based off that give him a main event.
At any rate if these numbers are true, that leaves $250K for Paulie.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Who is khan?
Hehe, that was a good one.
Still, I think Khan is better than what most peoples here are saying of him, especially because peoples seem to forget that the kid's only 22 years old and has been ko'ed when he lacked experience by somebody to have the reputation to have hard knuckles. I don't want to get in the middle of any storm by stating this all, especially because I know how he's not popular at all on the board but I still think that without saying he's a great champion, he's still overlooked a bit too much for the global package he has to offer.
