very underrated featherweight was Jesse James Leija ... Leija was a fucking non stop machine at that weight.. you can bet your bottom dollar he would have had a chance vs any featherweight . if you can dig up some fight footage of james leija at featherweight you will enjoy.. he also had some fantastic wars with the great Azumah Nelson... Leija was very under appreciated as a fighter IMO.

most of you youngsters have seen Leija at 135 140, his best weight was 126,, Jesse James was fantastic.I seen him on many cards there in the Alamo City..a thrill ride fighter, James came to party , all out warrior !

I'm sure Azumah Nelson would have gone close in a rematch, we probably would have had a trilogy there for sure. Other than Nelson, maybe Arguello, obviously legends like Willie Pep and Sandy Saddler would be a chance but i don't know... Sanchez may well be the greatest Featherweight of all time!
