I heard that this was a boring fight! Evidently, Raheem wasn't up to his usual ability. Also, I heard that Freitas won a SD.

Freitas won clearly imo, there was nothing wrong with Raheem....he just couldn't deal with a slick boxer going backwards, hence Raheem was offbalance all the time.
I didn't find it boring, i found it exciting lol
boring compared to what we usually see in Freitas
I heard a rumor that Raheem fired his old trainer and is now working with John Ruiz
I heard a rumor that boxing is about styles and since nobody else fightsl ike those two its unfair to judge someone on this one fight![]()
hey, welcome back
You didn't go long now did you![]()
I will be gone. I'm only staying to watch Mayorga knock out DLH.
and if that dosen't happen?Originally Posted by Starr
Not judging him on the one fight. Raheem is famous for his lack of power, and I think that lack of power played a part in him bear hugging Popo (not like Morales has enough power to trouble Raheem). It would of been a moreso embarassing fight had he not held. Just my opinion thoughOriginally Posted by Starr
and yes Raheem trains with Ruiz
Raheem doesn't haev a lack of power and he stunned Freitas more then Freitas ever hurt him. Freitas never hurt Raheem, Raheem hurt Freitas a bunch of times. And Raheem won the fight as well. And you are judging him on this one fight, or you wouldn't compare him to Ruiz since that is the only fight Raheem has done that in, and Freitas' style was a part of it.
This fight was boring. IMO neither man deserved to win. Raheem held/fell all night and freitas couldn't get anything done on offense. It deserved a draw.
Step up so I can put you down
he has pop to his punches but by no means does he have power, and I don't think freitas was ever hurt in that fightOriginally Posted by Starr

Zahir won the fight by two points imo. He caught freitas with at least six or seven big right hands that rocked popo on his heels, it was a clear cut victory for Raheem, Although Freitas fought a fairly decent defensive fight.
I think Raheem may have won by a round--a draw would have been fair as well. I thought 116-112 Freitas was a bad call, but I don't think the 115-113 card in his favor was that crazy.
Bottom line was that this was a highly disappointing fight to watch and neither guy should be proud. And even though I was rooting for Raheem and think he edged it, I found him sloppier and more disappointing than Freitas. It just looks bad when you fall off balance onto your ass constantly during a fight. The whole shoulder-charging thing was similarly sloppy and unimpressive. This did not look like an elite fight and neither of these guys belongs with the big boys in the division.

I had it to Raheem by 1,he landed more punches, although he did go off towards the end and he SHOULD have been ducked a point for that slam?! However,he wasn't so I think he won.
