Word around the country now is that Nintendo Wii stole the show at the E3 convention and is now seen as being the second coming of the NES in that it will dominate the market over PS3 and X-Box 360. At first I was sure I would be getting a PS3 but I think I might be going with the Nintendo Wii instead. The games they said were also better.

I've heard that Xbox is the weakest of the three so I know I won't be getting that. The Nintendo controller is crazy but it's supposedly the best handling controller ever made. With me it will come down to who has the better looking Madden.

Very true. But I think Microsoft was screwed either way, since Playstation has a huge loyal fanbase, and they never disappoint. Also, the Xbox 360 didn't have too many great games available at the time they launched.

i dont think its $600, it may COST 600 TO PRODUCE, but theyll sell it for like 250 and make up the loss through the games

wow, so they cost 800 to produce, and thyre gonna sell em for 6...

i guarentee they drop the price down to 300 if they do actually start at 6, cuz at the rate a 600 dollar machine would sell they wouldnt be able to make up the 200 by game sales

I agree. And what makes it worse is that it doesn't even come with a game , and games are for the PS3 are like $70. So if you want the system and one game that's almost $700 . That's a mortgage payment. Here's another article saying PS3 might be in trouble.

Don#'t worry,there will be probably be some device which allows one to play back up games for the PS3...not that I;d know about that.Wii looks awesome,innovative and fun but Nintendo have always done that and it has not served them well,they need more mainstream games. PS3 was just a bunch of sequels but when that list contains games like Tekken 6 and the GREATEST GAME OF ALLLLL TIME,Metal Gear Solid 4,who can complain. Xbox looke decent,Gears of War and Halo 3.

the thing about mod chips, from what i understand the DNAS (the thing u log on to to play PS2 games online) can either tell if your running a copied game or using a mod chip, and the PS2 has a static ip address, which can be banned, so if you attempted to play a burned game online using a mod chip you would never be able to access DNAS again form that machine, i would imagine PS3 would have the same precautions...


however i have heard there is a way to get burned PS2 games to work using a gameshark...

it looks like the system has a hard disk drive, and thats probably the reason theyre gonna charge so much, but that sucks ball cuz it gives the impression that it has 600 dollars worth of technilogical advancements


if the thing has 60 gigs then the chip that was all hyped up cant cost more then 250 to make

Sony are boring... they still have the same boring controller and same boring way of playing games that they've had since the PS1... just with better graphics... Wii is going to be like the first time you played a computer game or the first time you played a proper 3D game like Mario 64.

PS3 is like Zab Judah... all Flash and no substance... Wii will put you in the games more than press buttons will, PS3 is all about looks, nothing more.

(yes I have nerdish tendancies :P)

And can you imagine fight night on Wii? you'd actually be throwing punches, not just twiddling your thumb :yawn:
