Veit Defeats Brahmer
Two-time super middleweight world title challenger Mario Veit (48-2, 23 KOs) is back in the title picture after winning a majority decision over previously unbeaten WBC #2 rated Jürgen Brähmer (27-1, 22 KOs) over twelve rounds in Munich to claim the WBC International title. After being dropped in the first round, Veit simply outboxed the powerful southpaw Brähmer, who had problems avoiding Veit's jab and solving Veit's defense, although when Brähmer did land, his punches clearly did more damage. Scores were 115-113, 114-113, 114-114.
