I know a lot boxfans use boxrec.com as reference, but does anybody understand their point system...?!?
I mean,as much as I like Arthur Abraham,I don't really see him as No1 Middleweight, the same goes for
Zsolt Erdei as Light Heavyweight.

i've just looked as well and i dno what has happend it looks like they have totally re done the ranking system because it's all changed some of it makes sense but some of it is crap eg Alexander Dimitrenko jumping 50 places to be ranked 5.ive bearly heard of this kid mucn and how can be ahead of James toney in the ranking. but its good to see cotto is the number 1 in the light welter.
Ranks @ 160 & 168 look pretty good...but drop Hopkins outta 160 & bump Sturm up a few spots.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
They must have different people in charge of each weight class because some are right on or improving while some of the others look to be operated by a robot gone mad. For instance:
In heavyweight they got guys like Danny williams ranked way over champion Serguei Lyakhovich. Valuev definately does not belong at # 2.
In middle weight, a fair world should have Hopkins at number one since he really did beat Taylor and Abraham at number two because I think he has beaten more and better oppositon than Winky. I dont see how they got Sturm and Powell way ahead of Soliman and having Sergio Mora way ahead of Miranda is ludricous.
In light Middle weight they have the great prospect Ouma at #1 but he should definately not be ahead of Karmazin.
Lightweight is a little screwd up to.
yeah looks like they are messing with their ranking system, i bet they will keep tweeking it some more
boxrec is good for checking to see who is fighting when, and for referencing records,Originally Posted by JohnnyKickAss
its also great for checking wtf an undercard is gonna feature... but its rankings are automatic, and dont allways make sense

It's a computerized system, and the computer program that's being used is full of malarkey. The rankings aren't terrible for guys within the top 20 or so, but farther down the list the ranking becomes worthless. I have found that some guys that should be highly ranked are way down the list, such as Shannon Briggs.Originally Posted by JohnnyKickAss
Wait!! somebody fixed the heavyweight rankings, at least the top ones. However, they're still bad in places. How come Liakhovich is below Brewster? Liakhovich should be higher, much higher.
Yes I noticed that Malignargi just got notched up at least 20 just in time for his match with Cotto.
