    Default Hatton vs. LaMotta P4P

In a p4p sense, how would a fight between Jake LaMotta and Ricky Hatton go? Being a Hatton fan, it's hard for me to admit it but I think LaMotta would leave Ricky sprawled out on the canvas.

La Motta... Hattons got a lot of heart... decent chin and hits quiet hard but personally I think La Motta was more skilled... had an Iron Chin.... hit harder for his weight (yes... a monstor ) and was tougher

Thats not knocking Hatton though... just giving props to La Motta

Well Hatton is still active, and LaMotta is well established as a great of the sport. Its unfair to compare at this moment in time, but if i had to pick atm LaMotta KO's Hatton.

I'm leaning towards Lamotta. He's got heavier hands and solid as a rock.

This post is insane, lamotta punishes hatton for 3 rounds, Hatton dies in the ambulance on the way to the hospital thats the only scenario i can see happening. Just thought about him being hurt by collazo and decides that Hatton dies before he's even put in the ambulance.

You're comparing Hatton to a guy that beat the great Sugar Ray Robinson, and haton just got beat by some dude name Calozzo (imo) are you seeing it clearer now ?

GOOD NIGHT HATTON!!!! The Ragin Bull would Hammer him unconscious.....Hatton has nothing on Lamotta when it come to brawling or ruffhouse tactics...I think Lamotta wrote the book on that kind of stuff....doubtful that there will ever be a movie about Hatton too.
It feels good to be back home.

Comparing fighters from one era to another is one thing if they are in the same weight division, but from different weight divisions? This thread is ridiculous. Are we this bored we have gotten down to this? (I sure must be, since I am replying. Being stuck at home with the flu sucks.)

Hatton has the higer workrate and LaMotta has lost to worst opponents than Hatton before, so it's not out of the realms of possibilty that Hatton would beat Lamotta.
I'd say Lamotta by UD, he dosen't have enough power imo to knock out Ricky Hatton....He was a light puncher

Apparently I am not the only one here case I see most responses being that Hatton gets laid to waste. By the way, it is politically correct to call me "mentally challenged" not a retard.

forget workrates and fitness levels, lamotta could absorb a lot more and hit harder. In this case, the fight would be over before Hatton could find his feet and get inside. (im a big Hatton fan btw)
