Pride FC has a huuuuuuuuuuuuge talent pool. Most of its divisions are stacked with so many talented fighters and very technical fighters and great fightcards all the time. Plus they have the Grand Prix and so on which is exciting.

UFC is good also but apart from their welterweight division, the rest of em aint packed with tht much talent etc.

IMO, the UFC has become massively watered down. Only the top guys in each weight class are any good. The rest are permanent undercards who could easily be replaced.

The difference b/w pride and ufc is greater than that of F1 and champ car.

A few years ago when I was doing a little bit of TKD training, all the schools would get together and workout/spar a little bit. After all that was said and done we'd sit around, chit chat. Eventually the subject of mainstream mixed martial arts would come up and you couldn't tell these guys UFC was inferior. In their little minds UFC was the mecca of mma and Chuck Liddell was as close to god as you could get. Mentioning things like him getting ko'd by Quinton Jackson in Pride, well thats just irrelevant, he didn't train right! No matter what some people are narrow minded about the subject, even if they've never seen Pride before. Theres just no arguement to be made for UFC, and theres an endless amount of sheeples that think otherwise.

the UFC will lose all of its credibility if when that happens...people will no longer watch those PPV's if Pride is in their backyard....

Yeah...I agree 100%....the best thing the UFC has going for it is the cage. I like the cage better, because it adds another dimension to the fight. However, the only good fighters in the UFC are the champions, and even then, the entire HW division is a joke. They really need to remove the weight limit for HW, and get Bob Sapp over here. I honestly cant see him losing to any of the current UFC heavyweights, and thats rediculous. Chuck is good, and could probably knock the hell out of Rampage if they fought again, but he has no serious competition since Couture left, and even then, Couture lost his last 2 matches against him. Middle Weight is finally starting to heat up, with BJ Penn coming back, and GSP kickin ass and takin names...not to mention Karo making his comeback.

However, not even the MW division is anywhere NEAR as deep as the immense talentpool they have going for themselves in Pride.
Boxing is like a handjob, and MMA is like a hot sweaty orgy with 5 chicks. I could never say no to a handjob, but which would you rather have?

you know when cringer started this thread I went to look at Pride's webpage. Who are their champs now? I know Fedor is the HW and I think Gomi is the LW but it only listed the Gran prix champions after them? I thought Silva was the Middle and I think Dan Henderson is the Welter but the website was kind of confusing.

A reason I like pride is because they have talented fighters from all over the world, and by having lots of good fighters theirs lots of good fights. most ufc fights are garbage now. And does anyone think that they stop their fights way too early? (like huges vs gracie for example)

i totally agree with you cringer, ufc stop there fights too soon. in pride, fighters be getting stomped on (and still be concious) and the fights continue thats how its suppost to be.

the stand up in ufc is rubbish. they seem to fall after every clean shot that lands!

In pride fc, the talent is shocking! Also the rules make for betta fights, sucka kicks, stomps, knees on the ground to the head etc, UFC IS TOO LIMITED. but then again there are things that you cant do in pride which you can do in the ufc (ELBOW STRIKES).

For some reason the pride fights seem more exciting, faster pace....etc
