I love hearing the thuds of the punches, it's like Rahman got hit by 2 pillows that were fired out of a cannon...Jim Lampley "BOOM, down goes Rahman!"
Hasim is GREAT for spectacular KO's...Lewis II, Maskaev...he's awesome at getting ROCKED
that's what an in shape and motivated Lewis was capable of...Rahman got lucky in the first fight ...this is how it should have went down...a true champ avenges his losses.....Lewis is a true champ...Originally Posted by ryanman89

yea,the sound of the punches are so sweet, and the way hasim falls is priceless.ive never disliked a fighter the way i disliked rahman after the first lewis fight,he showed absolutely no respect or humility, thats what makes that knockout so sweet.

cc. I hated the guy after the Lewis win. And he knew that he won the first fight because Lewis never took him seriously.Originally Posted by ryanman89

Something not mentioned very much is how Rahman humiliated Lewis on national TV (after their first fight) by calling him and his whole family "gay." Apparently, he also wrestled him to the ground. All the more reason why Lennox's KO of Rahman was so sweet.
In a recent interview with Hasim about those comments, he was asked "Why do you think Lennox got so upset?" To which Rahman responded a matter of factly "Probably cus its true."Originally Posted by TitoFan

Which, of course.... would make Hasim's devastating KO loss all the more humiliating.Originally Posted by Hulk

Oh, man this thread is like a fat girlfriend...........it won't go away.
I was hoping that this thing would just disappear but it looks like its at the front of the line again so here we go......Get your sadclicks ready.......
My very favorite Lewis fight was Lewis-Rahman 1 when Lewis got cocky and Rahman put him on his back. A beautiful KO delivered by a heavyweight with questionable skills. At that moment, Lewis took a heavy that probably would have gone relatively unrecognized (inside of the ropes) and gave him the notoriety he would need to haunt the division for the next five years.
Oh sure, he came back to win but he probably should have never lost in the first place!
If your going to give credit for Lewis KO of Rahman in part 2, you should really give credit to Rahman for that picture perfect KO he layed on Lewis in part 1.
Damn straight they should. And give him credit for havin no fear of Lennox even after his ass whippin, unlike "Iron" Mike Tyson. And dont be so harsh on Rahman, those losses to Holyfield and Ruiz were bizarre and bad, but he also managed to outbox and outwork both David Tua and James Toney recently, but got Draws in both fights.Originally Posted by mucho testosterone

the punch hasim caught lennox with was a beauty,i feel he would have got far more respect if he had treated lennox with some.

Rahman was always been as "has-been" Rahman as LL said so perfectly. The poorest champ in 75 years at HW.
But it also shows that anybody can have an off day. Lewis is clearly the superior boxer but got caught and lost. In boxing the best man does not always win. And sometimes the best man makes a meal of it on an off day
