What do you think was the greatest fight ever that didn't have a knockdown (or stoppage of some kind)? The only ones I can think of is Barrera-Morales I and Leonard-Duran I.

Good one, totally didn't even think of that one.Originally Posted by JonesJrMayweather

That was a sizzler, Tua rocked Ike a few times but he couldn't put him down and in the end ike sneaked a split decision.
At first I was gonna say Bowe-Holyfield I but then I remembered Holyfield got dropped in that fight. There weren't any knock downs in the rematch but I don't remember it as being that great a fight, other than fan man flying in. I guess maybe Lennox-Holyfield II, although it was far from a war.
Lewis-Vitali was pretty good
Yeah but that one had a stoppage.Originally Posted by Lyle

I'd say Barrera-Morales 1, since the knockdown wasn't genuine. Barrera-Morales 1 is the greatest fight ever, in my opinion, period.Originally Posted by clean
I have one that probably only older Aussies would have seen. Lester Ellis Vs Barry Michael for IBF lightweight belt. That was a great war. There was even a famous rumour that went around...that Lester actually asked Barry to hold him up for the last round. They both took so much punishment. For two guys to enter as absolute enemies, they did become friends after that.

'Two Jabs' and that Welsh guy who threw an egg at him.
