    Default Taking Breaks

Hey Guys, 1st post on this board, so here goes,

I used to box and now i just the training for a hobby, i am 18.

Just a question, do any of you guys take long breaks away from training (e.g. a few weeks or so) after you have been pushing yourself pretty hard?
Since the beginning of the year i have been exercising hard to try and tone up and become stronger by using a lot of the workouts from www.rossboxing.com, now i just feel i need a month off to rest and enjoy life a bit.
What's your views, do you ever find it hard to get the motivation to continue exercising?

    Any replies much appreciated

    Default Re: Taking Breaks

I never stop training completely, but before and after the boxing season I tone my training right down and have a training period inbetween.

During the boxing season train to peak for each fight, outside of it rest and improve your all round fitness.
