England seem to have the football side of things wrapped up in the UK. It's arguable about which rugby team is better at the moment, but I might probably favour Wales slightly. Scotland have... erm... Andy Murray... I think...

Does it work the same way in olympic sports? Doesn't Great Britian compete as a whole or do the separate parts compete independatley. I never thought about it till today. It just struck me as strange that Great Britian/United Kingdom (what is the preferred name) doesn't compete as a whole.
