A candidate? it was a great fight
A candidate? it was a great fight
As far as HBO goes I still think Vargas Mosley was better
It's certainly up there somewhere near the top. I really enjoyed the fight as well as last weeks match ups. Good to see boxing's black eye has healed nicely since the castillo fiasco.
No. It's not the fight of the year.
gr8 fight but not fight of the year.
Calzache Vs Lacy is one of the best Ive seen this year.
No way.
Monshipour-Sithchatchawaal
Escalante-Hernandez
Pacquiao-Morales II
Brewster-Sergei
Those are my top 4 in order.
It was an exciting chess match...not much more then that.
No way.. dont get me wrong it was a good fight but I think Vargas n Mosley has it right now although im pretty sure that will change in the future.
It would have been a good candidate for fight of the year but they both didn't do much in the last 2 rounds. Both of them coasted.
It was a great fight but not fight of the year
Judges blew their scorecard

RIP, Crazy Samurai. Thank you for your Drumming.
Imo, it was one of the best
if you guys are seriously considering that fight as candidate for fight of the year... then boxing really is in poor shape! the fight of the year is supposed to be a good action fight... names like tapia, gatti, morales, barrera, arce... wright and taylor just weren't at that calibre
Not neccesarily, Gatti v Ward is a great fight, a real tear up, but no technical skill, so if you like that fights, which I do, then it would for you be a contender for fight of the year, but for a technical fan, Wright v Taylor would be a contender, its all what style of boxing you like....Originally Posted by pete shonan

Id be dissapointed if it was
Havn't seen the first two you mentioned, hell never even heard of the first one!Originally Posted by SecondRoundKO
But I do think this was the most competative fight of the year. I mean it was see-sawing one way and the other and really it was all on the last round. Every round was competative and I found it very, very exciting, which suprised me as I wasn't expecting much at all.
Brewster Sergei was a great fight, Pacquiao Morales was good but one sided, Lacy Calzaghe was a superb beatdown but not competative.
I really enjoyed the Kermit Cintron David Estrada clash as well.
Actually when I think about it, there has been some superb fights this year.
It doesn't beat Brewster Liakovich
Brewster saves the Heavyweight division for excitement!!! Win lose or draw
