the winner is quite big for a super featherweight, the stoppage was kind of strange i would of give him a bit more of a chance, the ref sort of stepped in and was just looking at him for what seemed an age before waving it off, i would of gave him another 30 seconds.
It was a fair old tear up for the 4 rounds while it lasted. A realy good fight. Johannson was always that bit more dangerous looking. Corrocan though showed some good boxing as well though and was perhaps a bit unfortunate to have the fight stopped when it did but he was taking some heavy shots at the time. If he hadnt showed so much heart staying on his feet he could have maybe got himself more time perhaps. However the decision was a terrible one and it certainly has cases for arguement from bothe sides.
One things for sure it was a cracking toe to toe fight and after the fight, Sky Sports claimed there is a 90% probabiblity of a rematch. Looking forward to it already!
Excellent fight! I thought the stoppage was about right. There was only going to be one winner at that point and I dont think Corrocan would of made it through the round.
Ive always thought Johannson has looked class. And glad he was getting some exposure. Cant see a rematch being any different. There's some cracking British match ups that can be made at Super Feather. I hope they are made (probably wont be) and I'd fancy Johannson in any of them.

that carl guy is a good boxer puncher! Johansson vs murray would be a wicked tear-up, eventually murray coming out on top!
if i was in charge, then i would never put that ref in any big fights, he always stops em too soon!
Obviously carl was going to knock corrocan out soon. Billy was complaining after the fight, with fighters like that, you should let em get beat on so when it does get stopped, both the ref and the fighters know it is a good stoppage! no complaining. 30 seconds more wont kill, will it?

Of course the stoppage was correct. Now I hate to see fights stopped prematurely but the gypsy was shipping an enormous amount of punishment and was about to be turned into a vegetable. Is that's what you want to see then fair enough. His legs were all over the place before the ref stopped in. He was a basically a massively incompetent boxer with absolutely no defensive skills whatsoever. I'm sure he's won a few 'all-ins' in a circle of caravans before with those kind of tactics, but in a professional ring you're going to get embarrassed, and he did, against a pretty average fighter at that in Johannsen. Another who will get found it when he steps up a level. Good fight though.
They should definitely have a rematch. Preferably bare knuckle.
